Two Questions on Time Stamps and Buttons on the Newsify RSS App

Hello, everyone. Having read overwhelmingly positive reviews about Newsify, I decided to take it for a spin. I have two questions about the app, please: 1. Is there a way to enable a time and date stamp for each article when looking at the list of articles in a feed? I hear only the title of the article and its RSS summary. Of course, I can open the article and get this information, but I'd like to save a step. 2. What does the "Globe Button Action" setting under the "Article Browser" heading of "Settings -> Advanced" do? I am confused by the word "Globe." There is also a nearby "Open Items" button. How does this differ in function from the "Globe Button Action" option? Thank yu for all help. Craig

There is a timestamp visually displayed next to each article in the list view, but unfortunately this is not recognized or announced by VoiceOver. As for the buttons, the 'Open Items' setting determines what happens when you double-tap on the article title in the list view. In my case, I have this set to open the article in the app's web browser. In this view, there is a button in the top right of the page labeled 'RSS', which when double-tapped toggles the view. On this next view, we finally find the 'Globe' button. Again, it is in the top right of the page, and does whatever you have told it to do in the settings. I hope that made some kind of sense (smile)
Thank you, David, for the cogent reply. I will write to Ben Alexander asking him to enable VoiceOver access to the date stamp. I'll keep the forum informed. Thanks for explaining how to locate the "Global" button. My question was prompted by my not even having found this button. I'll do some experimenting. Craig

I just got a short note back from Ben Alexander that he would consider VoiceOver access to article time and date stamps in a future release of Newsify. Craig
I have been playing with Newsify 1.2 lately, and I am still confused by the function of the Globe button. David Goodwin wrote in a previous post to this thread: [begin quotation] As for the buttons, the 'Open Items' setting determines what happens when you double-tap on the article title in the list view. [end quotation] Since there is a configurable "Open Items" option in "Settings -> Advanced" and a configurable "Open Links" option in "Settings," and since the Globe button requires a bit of extra clicking to get to, I'm wondering why there is a Globe button at all. Could David or someone please describe a scenario in which this button is helpful? Thank you. Craig
