Apple has today released iOS 17.0.3 and iPadOS 17.0.3, bringing a fix for an issue that could cause the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to overheat when using certain apps, as well as a fix for a security vulnerability that Apple believes may have been actively exploited.

As these updates appear to have been released to address a small set of specific issues, our expectation is that they do not contain any accessibility changes for blind and low vision users; however, if you notice any changes, improvements or regressions in your own use of these releases, please post a comment below with your findings.

iOS 17.0.3 and iPadOS 17.0.3 are available via Over-the-Air Update (Settings > General > Software Update) via Finder on a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, or via iTunes on a PC or Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier.

None of my Braille issue fixed. I have a Hims BrailleEdge. Every time I want to connect my Braille Display I have to go to iPhone's Settings app>Accessibility>VoiceOver>Braille and tap on the BrailleEdge entry, hoping If I ever have a chance for a successful connection. Who can still recommend iPhone/iPad/Apple products overall? I'm switching to Android/Samsung after using 3 iPhones in the past 12 years (mostly unsatisfied). Let's say bad luck to this fun killer company. Good luck AppleVis community.
