this is the product:
https://www.amazon.com/MEATER-Thermometer-Rotisserie-Bluetooth-Connectivity/dp/B07H8WTFHW/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=meater&qid=1590458716&sr=8-2
and this is the companion app:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/meater-smart-meat-thermometer/id1157416022
if you have used this, how accessible is the app? the app looks clean and easy, but i don't have the device yet, so i couldn't finish the last step and test it out.
unlike many so-called wireless cooking thermometers, this one seems to be truly wireless, meaning it has no wire and doesn't require a separate transmitter.
i can just try it out, but it costs $99, so if it doesn't work, i'll have to return it and not just keep it. don't like the hassle.

Asking about this
Hi. This post is old, and I've bought an instant read thermometer, finally, after one website was just attrotious. Are you still using this? I might order it as I want to put the probe in say a prime rib, and know when to take it out so it continues to cook reaching the medium rare I'd like. Thanks for responding.
NutriChef
the meater was good when it worked, but due to its design, it's not built to last, especially if you use it a lot. i have since switched to nutrichef thermometer. it is not completely wireless. the probe connected to a bluetooth transmitter, and you use the EasyBBQ app on your phone to connect to the bluetooth transmitter. the app is accessible once you figure out how to use it.
if you search "nutriChef smart bluetooth bBQ" on amazon, you'd find varius models. i think they all use the same temperature probe, yu can confirm this with the sellers. i think the difference among varius models is how many probes it can accomondate, mine can use six probes at once. additional probes can be purchased.
