I am at 17.01 on my iPhone se2. and for some reason I can't get to the part where one can edit or customize the lock screen. I try tripple tapping on the lock screen, and i get the long press sound, but, I still just see what's on the lock screen, such as time, show notifications, and a Weather Gods wall paper I tried to put up, but it just says "No data. I somehow got that going whilst in beta test mode for 17. Now, I can't access the way to customize lock screen with that same tripple tap or long press like before. What did I do wrong? <sigh>

Siri is no longer giving me notifications
I'm noticing of late in 17.01, that Siri does not speak it's notifications now when my screen is locked. The only time it seems to make announcements is when I open my phone and maybe start reading notifications or whatever, and then my voice over disappears because Siri is now giving a summary of notifications through the ear piece, and not the speaker. And yes, I do have it in siri settings under accessibility, that siri is to announce through speaker. Once again, it was working fine until I switched to regular beta updates and grabbed 17.01. Anyone else having this issue?

Go voiceover, speech, verbosity, system notification and tap on speak notification on the lock screen. Apple turn this off in iOS 17 or is a bug.
Alternate way of doing things
Also using an iPhone SE2. In iOS 16, you could go to:
1. Settings > Wallpaper > Lock Screen
And make your changes from there, including adding/deleting widgets, wallpapers, etc.
Should be the same in iOS 17.

Would b to much to ask for steps please.
Steps, the alternate way
1. Go to settings > wallpaper. from this point on, we will refer to this as the "main screen".
2. double tap on "lock screen wallpaper" button.
3. You should see a list of random widgets. For me, I get three total to play with. Your mileage may vary.
4. Double tap each widget, and edit or change as needed.
5. On the same screen, if you navigate all the way to the right, you will see a list of wallpapers currently available to you. You can add to this list, by going back to the "main screen", then navigating over until you find the "add"button.
6. After you have chosen your "lock screen wallpaper", back out to the "main screen", and then double tap on "home screen wallpaper".
7. Here you can "pair" the "home screen wallpaper" with the "lock screen wallpaper", or choose other options for your "home screen wallpaper".

Lock screen
Thanks. Did so and went to customize lock screen. Saw only to 2 widgets calendar and clock. Could not find my WG widget. Thanks for taking the time.
Brian
Figure out how to find WG yet I can not add it on the lock screen. I tap on it but there is no add the WG widget.
Small widgets
The only thing I can suggest, is that you select the smallest size widget when you choose one for the Lock Screen. Typically when editing widgets, there is a control, the name escapes me at the moment, but it lets you choose a size. This list is numbered, and when you select a number, you can navigate around the screen to get a preview of how much info the widget will provide based on its size.

Lock Screen widgets
Hi,
I wrote a forum post on how to do this for weather gods. It should be the same for other widgets.
There does seem to be an apple bug trying to edit a Lock Screen widget in the slot above the clock.
Here's my link for configuring the widgets.

Another quirk to consider
I am not sure if this is present in iOS 17, however, in iOS 16, if you are on your lock screen, and touch the top center of your screen, where it says "locked, status, bar item" and then slowly drag your fingers straight down, you will find a small area where it reads the time. You cannot find us using flick gestures, only by explore by touch. If you happen to have a Clock widget on your lock screen, you will find that even further down.
Basically what I am telling you, is that you will always have one, and as many as two clocks on your lock screen. I am not sure if this is only within voiceover, or if this is a visual thing as well. But it is something to keep in mind when adding widgets to your lock screen.
