Apple Beta Releases

Hi.
Since we are very close to the ios17 release, I wanted to make sure if my favorite tts, the espeak ng will work with it.
Unfortunately espeak ng didn't get updated on the app store for long time, and the 2 testflight versions we were testing since then already expired and we had to go back to the app store.
If it works on ios 17 I will be very happy.
Thanks
Nikos

Greetings. The Test Flight releases which have expired offered lots of bug fixes and a couple of new features, so going back to the super-old release on the App Store is quite irksome.

I am happy to know that it will work on ios17.
I am waiting to read the article on applevis about the upcoming ios release to decide if I will update strate away or not.
But it's good to know that my tts will keep working.
Many thanks.

Hello,
as others said, ESpeak NG works without any issues.

However, I have noticed that after every iOS update, ESpeak does not work for a few minutes, but comes back soon afterwards. You shouldn't be left with no speech though, in my case it just switched to the next available Vocalizer.

Note that this is not an ESpeak problem, the same thing happens with Eloquence as well, so don't be surprised if it doesn't come up right away. Just make sure to unlock your phone and use it for a bit and it should be back
