Hi all. If someone has a minute, could they do a podcast on scanning a QR code? I'm putting this on the IOS side of things but if someone can do a Mac one also that would be appreciated. I tried to scan a QR code for my Apple ID and it found the code on my screen saying "Detected" over and over but nothing seems to do the trick. I got past it with the password so that's no worry. Just want to do it better. Thanks

Code Scanner
Hi,
The iOS Code Scanner is actually pretty good. Assuming the code you are scanning is clear and there is no 'noise' interference such a screen glare, etc. Not sure what to tell you about using a Mac to scan them as I do not even know where the camera is located on those. π«€
For iOS though, its pretty straight-forward.
1. Open Control Center.
2. At the bottom of your screen you should have an option called 'Code Scanner', double tap this.
3. Point the back-facing camera at the code you want to scan.
5. Usually takes a few seconds if your having a good day.
5. Win.
HTH. π
How to Scan a QR code on iOS
There is a podcast episode from a few years ago that demonstrates how to do this. I think it's still accurate, but not totally sure since I don't use QR codes often.
Thanks Tyler and Brian
I'm sure, I just am being a dork. Also, Bryan more emoji? Ugh ;) Seriously I'll try that when I have one. AlsoI don't use them often it just bugged me I couldn't do it. Thx

Brayn, you will be poisoned... :)
I'm only annoyed you do them faster then I can. Ugh, like my sighted idiot. but blind. Nice touch!! :) seriously thx for the help.
Siobhan
I was hoping to write a letter with them just for you. That would be interesting.
@Siobhan
The Irish in me despises the "y" you put in my name. Even typos of my name should not have a "y" !!
I am afraid, you will be visited upon by a π clad πΊ wielding a πͺ .
Ugh! Ok, i did it!!
I didn't read before I wrote your name. Call them off!!! ;)
While we're pointing out typos...
You wrote "quit tip," rather than "quick tip," in the title of the thread.
I recall a university professor ranting for about twenty minutes in a Shakespeare course about someone writing the plural "witches" in one of the papers on Macbeth, when it should have been the possessive "witch's," then slapping my paper down on the table in front of me. It only got worse from there...
Ah, yes..
Don't even get me started on a certain American Literature prof. from my past, who threatened to expose me for plagiarism because I missed a f**king (comma) in a citation......
English/Literature professors. Can't live with them, can't shoot them. True story. π₯Ί
