Well Agent, It appears you're a risk-taker... We are too. Kickstarter: http://www.codenamecygnus.com/kickstarter Remember the Choose Your Own Adventure books of the 1980’s? Reactive Studios is developing similar stories today using smartphone and voice technology. We develop interactive radio dramas to give players an immersive, story-based game experience. Our smartphone applications are responsive to a player’s in-game decisions via voice and or touch input. We are fully accessible as our gameplay is completely audio based and we've integrated Apple's Voiceover API. Codename: Cygnus is our first game to be released this August as a spy thriller series on iPhone/Ipad. With either a spoken word or a simple tap on the screen you can listen to the drama unfold in a progression similar to the multiple choice dialogue moments that you find in adventure or Role Playing Games (RPG). You get to make decisions about what to do and what kind of agent to be in a world of espionage. Your device recognizes your speech (or accepts the tap of a button) to trigger and play the next sound file so that the characters react to you as the events and story continue. Part casual game, part interactive audiobook. Are you ready for your first mission Agent? Over and Out -Director Albrecht

I'm very much looking forward to the release of this app! I've been immersing myself with several different audio drama podcasts lately like Leviathan Chronicles, Hot House and Dr. Carp: Paranormal Therapist. This sounds like a great next step in combining the best of games and audio drama! If it's done correctly that is. This type of app clearly lends itself to the blind and visually impaired! Thank you for including voiceover support right at launch!

I agree. I really don't know why this hasn't been done along time ago. Well, I'm glad it's being done now. I'm not all that much into spying and espionage, but radio dramas right up my alley So I'm sure I will enjoy it!

I am so excited about the prospect of this game, I went searching for anything that could be remotely close to it. I found a game called Freeq which can be found in iTunes @ https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/freeq/id577659568?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D2

It's $4.99 and has good reviews. I haven't downloaded it yet so I have no idea about whether it works with voiceover or not. Either way, I'm happy to see that this genre of game is even being developed!

It's about time someone figured out that voice over on apple devices would be a perfect way to blend audio dramas and adventure games! Please definitely post here when it is ready for release and its price and I hope there will be more to come...IE...fantasy dramas, murder mysteries, spy thrillers...anything would be awesome!
As someone who is currently working on such an app, I'm eager to see how the market responds to the funding period and what features are added/cut. Indeed, this has similarities to my idea but is presented in a different way.
