Apple Beta Releases
Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms
Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.
If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

most of the bugs are still there
Eloquence still has no teeth, things are still pronounced very strangely and audio message transcriptions along with the speed controls are not accessible to voiceover.

Is time for it to see a dentist and get implants. hope it has insurance.
Is the focus bug still there?
Of all the IOS bugs I know about, the only one that matters to me is the bug that spontaneously sends focus to the top of the screen several times a minute. Is it still present in this beta release?
I know a doctor
My dentist is pretty great when it comes to teeth cleaning or missing tooth.
Probably time for full factory reset
It might be important to really commit to doing a full factory reset. It is part of beta testing. Do a factory reset with no system restore. Then see if the issues persist. If they don’t, then you have an answer. If the problems still exist, you can do another factory reset and put it back into the settings you had before through system restore.
Guys. This isn’t really rocket science. You are running beta software. If you are running it, then you are obligated to take every step to see what is causing things. Again, you are obligated. If not, then stop downloading this software and allow the people who are willing to do the testing.
I'm glad you're testing
I don't want to have a thing to do with testing. My iPhone is way more than buggy enough and hassle enriched as it is!
All I want to know is whether they finally fixed the focus bug.
I agree with Bruce!
I attempted beta testing once around iOS 11, I believe, and I don't think I ever want to do that again. It was very frustrating. Like Bruce, the only thing I care about at this point is the extremely annoying focus bug(s) I couldn't care less about new voices or nifty features if using apps I rely on is nothing more than an exercise in frustration due to annoying focus issues. I'll probably update to iOS 17 as soon as it is released, because honestly, things probably can't get too much worse than they've been with the last few versions of iOS 16, but the fact that the focus bugs are still lurking around is worrisome to put it mildly.
Is anyone experienceing lag with sending an i message.
Hi guys.
Is anyone experienceing a lag when sending an imessage.
Especially when you share something from Whatsapp like a to someone via Imessage?
Also this lag is also experienced while sending ,udaudio message as well.
And when double tapping on the audio message you sent doesn't play that aodio message.
I am using public beta five
As the subject states I am using public beta 5 on my iphone 14 pro.
probably a reason why some people have the focus issues
There’s probably a reason why some people have the focus issues, and some people don’t. There’s a reality to installing new software versions. Sometimes during the install, something gets corrupted. And unfortunately, the only way to really resolve the issue is to do a factory reset. I’ve had bugs in the past that no one else has been going through. And I did a factory reset and the bugs did not exist after that point.
The focus issue is a real problem. I’m Not going through it right now. I used to. But I did a factory reset, and it seems to have resolved the issue. Does that guarantee an fix. Absolutely not. But it is part of using these devices. I would recommend doing a factory reset and trying out the software without any system restore. If it exists even after the reset, then you can always restore. If it doesn’t, then your restore point has to be thrown into the trash and you gotta start everything from scratch. I’m sorry, that’s how it is. Screaming at the wall isn’t going to resolve this issue. No one on this website can fix the problem. Apple will figure it out with only your providing as much information as possible. A factory reset is part of that.

Could that be also due to memory? Just asking. Is there a different with the focus affecting the pro devices? I never had that issue with 12 pro and 13 pro now. I have the 128 GB phone. Lucky me.
I believe it’s corrupted files, but it could be memory
I believe it’s usually corrupted files. And it might just be a case of. Making sure that the files are all compiled properly. He could also be memory. I’m on a 512 GB 14 pro max. But I also had the focus jumping to the top issue earlier this year for a couple of months. When I did a factory reset, I haven’t had any issues since at all. That doesn’t mean that I fix the problem it just means that I tried something and it just so happened to have the results I was looking for
No focus issues here.
I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max and, at the moment, I am not experiencing any focus issues.
Something that I am still having trouble with is the drag and drop feature.
It is hard to do it because sometimes it will say drag after or before an item or, simply, one or the other would be missing.
Also, the sound that it used to play while dragging and dropping is not present. If I am not mistaken, it would be the same sound that it plays while re-ordering items.
Up until now I had not been forced to reset to factory mode but perhaps I've been lucky so far.
If at some point I need to do a reset so drastic as that, I guess I will have no choice but to do it.
After all, this is the reason why we are beta testing.
Is anyone else getting a bug in notes?
To reproduce, open a note on your iPhone and using a Bluetooth keyboard cursor down with the down arrow. Voiceover only speaks the top line of the note or the top line of the paragraph you have reached. This makes notes unusable. I have already provided evidence to apple through feedback.
factory reset of iphone
Hi! I've been reading these comments with great interest. I understand the logic behind everything being said, but resetting my phone to factory seems awfully drastic, especially if it turns out that I can't restore from an icloud backup. I would seriously consider it if it could 100 percent guarantee a fix for the focus issue, but I know that there are no guarantees like that, especially when it comes to tech, so at least for now, I'm just going to hope that when iOS 17 is released, the issue will resolve itself.
Why is resetting a hot topic issue?
Just curious here so here are my two cents. First off, technology sometimes, decides not to perform well. It could be a single device, a few devices, maybe the tech company can't reproduce it. I'm not suggesting someone reset the phone each beta during the cycle. But asking a question for everyone. Have you rebooted the phone for whatever reason, or your computer, and the issue resolves itself even if it comes up again? Logic suggests the answer to this question is yes. Have any of you ever thought, you can restore from a backup? What makes it impossible for someone to think they may not be able to? I have not encountered the focus bug, nor am I fool hearty enough to think that it isn't an issue. I say if you are willing, reset. I'd start with network settings, everything except reset erase content and settings. If that's the reset Ashrine is talking about, I can understand hesitation. Still, Back up the phone, even with the persistent issue you experience and jump off the diving board. At most, you'll have music or other content you'd need to redownload.
Always remember to back up your phone.
If you back up your phone before doing a factory reset, you shouldn't have any problem restoring from back up if things are not solved. Of course, a measure like that, in my opinion, should be your last resort.
Regarding Focus issues and resetting the iPhone.
Good day. Wow, yup, hot topic for sure. First, I am running Beta7, and I say, um well, with great care: on my iPhone se3 the focus issues seem to be gone. I have been sending and reading e-mail and working with web pages and no jumping around at all.
Now, regarding the reset. I did not have to totally blow away my phone just reset the settings.
Go to settings, General, transfer or reset iPhone, reset and then reset all settings.
You will be asked for your password and once you enter it will let you know that this will reset all settings, but no data will be lost.
I do not suggest doing this after each installation however if you have a long-standing problem as you are updating the betas it's probably time to do the reset.
I had a really bad focus problem where the phone would skip chunks of things such as lists in Spotify and this was in iOS 16. I reported it and then when I did the beta 1 it still happened. A friend of mine ran the beta on a clean phone and the bug was not present. I then reset all settings and it went away.
So, it's a way to clean things up without losing your data. Resetting when necessary is part of the beta process and necessary to get accurate results. So far in my testing at Beta 7 it is looking quite good. Now, admittedly I do not use Braille or a Bluetooth keyboard which is why those of you that do really need to be sure to leave explicit feedback so these things can be tracked down. Maybe there aren't allot of braille users but the ones that are there really will make a difference for all.
So, as we get close, please! use the betas, reset if you need to and don't be afraid to do so. Report everything in the beta feedback form and let's make iOS 17 a great release for all.
spell check in mail
if you turn off auto correct and predictive and correct spelling errors in mail. Then go back to see if the errors you corrected are still there. Note I did a complete reset and they are still there. Can anyone else reproduce it?
please report the spell check issue in mail FB 12971596
Please all report the spell check issue with mail

Wi-fi hotspot isn't working
Hi all. I have an issue with a lot of betas already that my wi-fi hotspot doesn't work when I connect laptop to iPhone. Sometimes it is really critical for me, and I have to use a wi-fi hotspot like now. I don't know what settings to reset, network or all settings. As far as resetting settings: once I had an issue when I simply couldn't switch between braille table contractions in VoiceOver settings. It was fixed after I resetted the phone to all settings!
Try network first.
If it were me, I’d try resetting network settings first as its far less work to get back to where you were and this seems like a networking related issue but given you have to use hotspot regularly I’d try whatever I had to do to get it working so then I’d try all settings. Failing all of that, I’d try calling apple. If non of that works, I’d just submit a bug report to the invisible fairy’s and hope something happened. Good luck. Having a essential feature missing must suck.
iOS 17 A
Question for all. Since the beta is letter A should I install the beta in my main iPhone or wait for the RC to do it. This will be for iPhone 13 pro. Thanks.
Don’t
Weight until the pr to install on er iPhone

Its pretty stable if you want to install it go for it.
No issues with hotspot
I've had no issues in iOS 17 with hotspot.
Install
I'd like to install the beta on my main and only iPhone 13 and Apple Watch SE, are there any serious bugs with VoiceOver in both softwares?
