This game is awesome. I love the fact you can use diamonds to answer questions again if you happen to answer incorrectly on your first attempt, and how you earn coins and rewards as you progress. It will be interesting to see if any Australian questions come up, as this is where I am from..
Devs have been posting their own stuff on here and no measures are taken and no warning is given. Anyway, just downloaded and launched the game, but why does the Next button come before the Previous button on the Help screen? Also, why am I given only Greece, New York and Japan to start with?
Contacted Google about that already, so it's unfortunately up to Google to fix the issue, but in that case, we need some workaround or alternative that lets us circumvent it instead.
Hi Enes. AppleVis has no rule against developers [posting to the forum, in fact we're happy to see the engagement with the community.
We do not allow developers to post their own apps to the app directory, and that has not happened here.
Thanks,
Dave
Hi. Definitely an interesting game, enjoying it so far.
It's a pity that the fact that it runs through direct touch means that you cannot use the VoiceOver rotor. This means that you can't read by word or character for example, which can be useful. The VoiceOver access works pretty well though.
Can I check something. Is it possible to buy more diamonds with in-game coins, or can they only be purchased with real money?
One thing O don't like is that when I get a question wrong, I don't get to see what the correct answer was. I don't know if that's only true for VoiceOver users, but either way, would be good if you got to learn the answer.
Thanks,
Dave
Okay, but I think I have been encountering apps posted to the app directory. Anyway, being sure you're aware of the situation, I'd better leave things to you to handle.
Hi. I've completed a few missions and Vo behaved as expected when starting a mission. Now when I start a mission and click "play quiz" the screen reverts to shop and not the quiz. I have enabled direct touch for the game. I think this is a VO bug. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
Thanks. :)
Hi. I haven't played yet so these are very early comments. First off, from the game sounds and how I was able to interact it seems like this game uses the Unity engine or coding, similar to a game from a few years ago called Crafting Kingdom. Once Direct Touch was enabled, I was able to move through the game sfreens. Also, in order to change the sliders in Settings, I had to first double tap on the slider, swipe up or down, and then double tap a second time to close the slider. Think of it like a combo box or selection button. I would also agree with Dave that it would greatly help if the user was able to use the rotor to review text by character, word, or line. Since this game seems to work like Crapting Kingdom, it may be possible to move vertically by flicking up or down. Finally, if one goes into Settings, there are options to change your nickname or avatar. When trying to write a new name, there is a clear all button by the Save button toward the top, I'm guessing. I did not discover this until after I had deleted 1 double tap at a time each character with the delete button in the bottom right corner of the screen. It is possible to enter text by double tapping each character or shift key in turn. I would suggest the developer lets the user use the tradditional keyboard we're all used to and most comfortable with. I like what I've seen so far.
It's not an voice over bug, you are probably low on coins which are needed to run the quiz. You can get the coins in daily rewards, buy them in the shop and you are also rewarded with coins after finishing the quiz and mission.
I get focus jumping around a lot when trying to swipe through the questions and answers, resulting in me choosing an answer that I didn't want to. Sometimes it also makes it hard to read the entire question. I don't know if this is because of the unity access plugin, or just the VO focus bug that infuriates everyone. I haven't seen it much in regular use of iOS though.
It does seem like this game is using the Unity Access Plugin from Metal Pop. If this game were made accessible using Apple's own Unity Accessibility Plugin, would it in fact make it possible to use things like the VoiceOver roter? I don't know of any games that use it; from the WWDC demo from a couple years ago, it seemed like it would enable more of the standard accessibility features to be used instead of using a whole other interface.
I have a couple of suggestions. When levelling up, it would be nice to receive an award, as is the case with other games. I also think the game could be more forgiving with diamonds when you want to retry answering a question. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to future updates.
Hello,
If the correct answers were shown, this would defeat the purpose of you answering the question as you think it might be/invoke the practice effect. Without going too psychological here, this effect is when you know the correct answers already from a previous attempt on the quiz, using those correct answers to just click on for the subsequent tries of the quiz. I'll try the game, but is it free to begin with? Also, what level--graduate, for example--would this be/is it common knowledge? Maybe, having some links to youtube where there is a full walkthrough, complete with comments, to listen to/maybe user BGFH79 could help spotlight the video. Are you timed in your answer choices?
Hello,
Couldn't you just turn VO off when the unity engine's running? That's how it works on Crafting Kingdom, anyway. That way, you wouldn't have to worry about Direct Touch--Apple should really get rid of that, don't you think? They won't, though, sadly!
Hello,
I found out that you only have 30 seconds to answer. What about time and 1/2 for those with cognitive delays/those of us who might not know the answer. Couldn't find anything about education for those with disabilities, but haven't started playing yet either, so ...
Hello,
I'm answering my own questions here, so VO must be turned on/game doesn't work with it off. By the way, I didn't get a choice of country/regeon, probably because I'm recognized in the U.S. The music is awesome for now/still on main screen. Thank you, Jana!

important note
be sure to turn direct touch mode on. Then voiceover works the way you expect it to.
Cool game
It's unique, I'm enjoying it.

Really love this game. Now I have another trivia quiz and see how it can be addicting. Hope widgets can be added in future updates. :)
Didn't know the admins would be that lenient

Re Is it possible to buy more diamonds with in-game coins
It's not possible to buy diamonds with in-game coins but you can get them in daily rewards or purchase with real money.
For the wrong answer the behavior is the same for voice over and sighted users - the correct answer is not displayed.

Thank you Jennifer clarifying. I guess I will have to wait till I keep getting dealer rewards and get more coins and try again.
