Apple Beta Releases

Ok just installed iOS 17 beta 3. Seems quite good the UK Siri issue re crashing etc has been fixed. However, two issues. 1 the native weather app is totally screwed for me using iPhone 13 pro. Will report this to apple. Second on the lock screen notifications speak normally. When unlocked, you now get a sound to show a notification has come in but, it doesn't speak them. Think someone found this in the dev version. Does anyone know if there is a way of getting vo to speak them again. had a look and couldn't find a setting to turn this on or off. Seems odd that you can't access notifications without going into the notification center.

Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

tap on a link in an email, when Safari loads, does the voice switch to the earpiece? It does for me, I reported it.

I’ve reported two bugs, neither of which is new to this public beta, but wanted to see if they got fixed before I sent something in.
1. Widgets all seem to read in English, even when device language and app language is set to Spanish. Happens with Eloquence, both when language detection is on and off.
2. In the home app, I used to be able to adjust my thermostat. There was an area where flicking up or down moved the temperature accordingly. Now, it reads “hot and cold temperature wheel” and when I double tap that, it will raise the temp by one degree, but no way to lower it. Flicking up or down to adjust the temperature is broken.
