macOS and Mac Apps

Hello, wonderful members of AppleVis
I work with lots of documents and sometimes I need to navigate quickly through the options or the content of the texts. I need an efficient way to navigate to the content I assign a shortcut to in MacOS different apps. I know there is the hot spot, unfortunately if I assign a number to a hot spot, the hot spot is made specific to the app I assigned the hot spot number for. The web spots are only available for web pages. Is there any other way I can do this?
Thanks.

For text, you can leave comments and other markers, which have dedicated keyboard shortcuts to navigate through them quickly.

For options, I assume you mean buttons and text fields, that sort of stuff. I use the Item Chooser to find them quickly, VO+I. For example, after entering this text, I'll want to jump to the Save button. Press VO+I, then type S followed by A, and that usually takes me there. VO+F to find a named object is often just as effective.
