Problem using Blindshoot game.

Hi all,

My name is Paulette. I am new to this site and new to playing computer games. I want to enjoy playing them, but so far, I have had trouble with all 3 that I have downloaded to my iPhone.

I purchased the game, Bllindshoot, yesterday. I tried unsuccessfully several times to play the game. I opened the game, listened to it say, "game salad", whatever that means, and was told to turn my phone to landscape. I did this and nothing happened. I had a silent screen no matter what I did. I finally learned this morning on this site, that I had to turn voice over off in order to play the game. I started the game, turned Voice Over off and nothing happened. I still had a silent screen. I reset my iPhone in order to start the game again, and I still had a silent screen. I contacted the developer and I don't even think that he read my email. All he said in his reply was to repeat the same instructions that are given at the beginning of the game.

What I want to know is, how can I play this game? I am so frustrated. I would really like to talk with some blind people who enjoy playing  computer games and don't mind answering what they might consider obvious questions. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am guessing that the BlindShoot app is broken at present. I have played it in the past, but when I just opened it up it will not do anything, like you described. I remember they updated the app a little while ago, but I have not tried it since. The best game I have found for blind users is Papa Sangre. It is very immersive. Another good one that is fairly fun is Blindfold Ping Pong.

I was able to play on version 1.1 on my iPhone 4 just fine. 1) Turn off Voice Over 2) Hold the device in the portriat mode 3) Open the Game 4) Listen for the Intro and when it says to turn your device to the landscape mode turn it with the Home button on your right. 5) Once you have turn the device with the home button on the right. It should continue with the directions. Pressing the top portion of the screen begin the game. Pressing the bottom part of the screen will give you the directions of the game. Hope that works.
I have a question for those having problems with blind shot: have you locked or unlocked the orientation? This is the problem! Please go to the switcher with double home, go unlock the orientation if locked. Then you can open blind shot and turn iPhone in landscape mode. If the game finds the orientation locked, it does not work! It tells you to turn iPhone in landscape mode, but, as it is locked, it doesn't do anything! It should be organized such as when opened, landscape turns on automatically. But it doesn't, for now

Hi everyone. I just purchased blind shoot yesterday. When I started the game, I was told to put the phone in landscape mode. I did this and tried tapping the bottom of the screen to get instructions on how to play the game. The voice the game uses kept cutting out at a certain part of the instructions and then it would start reexplaining them from the beginning. Voicover was turned off so I know it didn't interfere with anything. I did get to the part of the game where it said to tap the top of the screen when you want to start playing. I did this and I heard these beeping noises that would start far off and then get closer. I kept trying to gap the screen when the beeps got the loudest. Sometimes this worked and other times it did not. What am I missing? Does antone know how to play this game and would you mind explaining it to me since the app doesn't do a very good job at explaining how to play? Thanks so much! Holly
