What are people's thoughts on the 14 pro or Pro max? Is there a big difference from the 13?

I went from the 13 pro to the 14 pro as I have the upgrade program. It honestly has been worse as for some reason my battery life isn't as good. I have always on display off. Dynamic Island is fine, but more of a gimic than anything as most apps don't use it, and for the sports scores and such you can get a lock screen widget that does the same thing.

I was checking the 14 pro and did not care. Dynamic island issues and other things. I went with the 13 pro and the battery is great. Fast compare to my 12 pro that I had. Next year I might check the 15 pro or wait for the 16 pro.

Being a screen reader user and having absolutely no use for a large screen.
The fact that they do not offer a mini version of this phone turns me off.

Although I prefer everything about the 14 pro and dislike the size of the pro max. The battery in the pro really isn’t high capacity enough for the job. Buying the pro max is more about covering over apples mistake with the smaller battery in the 14 pro and not wanting anything specific about the pro max. The larger screen is no advantage for me and thats the only differentiator other than battery size. The battery in the Pro max is fine but not great. The Pro just isn’t good enough. Apparently the 15 pro and pro max both have significantly larger batteries and significantly more efficient processors so if I was getting a 15 and the rumours are to be believed, I think I’d go for the pro.

Well, if you have your shorts pulled down, you could say "Siri, take a picture!"

Hi all,

While I was at hope heals camp in Alabama, I got an opportunity to play with an iPhone 14 pro, and it's very small. the sise reminds me of the iPhone 5s, accept the camera bumps are a lot larger and it can easily be placed in the pocket.

VoiceOver performance is very responsive, and the speakers are a lot louder compared to previous models.

What really impressed me was the dynamic island. the fact that you could expand the controls without needing to open up the app is absolutely amazing!

For VoiceOver users, on the top of the status bar, you’ll find where VoiceOver says the name of the control, such as a song playing, and once your their, don't double tap, or else it will open up the app. Instead, swipe down with 1 finger to expand, then double tap. Once expanded, you can do other actions, such as pausing, resuming, or move onto the next and/or previous track.

That to me is wonderful, as I can still perform other actions while doing other things, such as remaining on the Home Screen, or checking up on my messages and/or emails. I don't have to be inside the Music app, I could just expand the controls. To get out of the dynamic island, do a 2-finger scrub

Other than that, the experience has been wonderful! I have also found the power on/off chime and it's on by default. everything else remains the same. I’ll totally be getting the 14 pro for my birthday this year.

Hello. I'm still running an iPhone 11 here. I'm seriously considering upgrading towards the end of this year though. Slowly but surely, this 11 is starting to show it's age. Sure the camera still works fine for seeing AI and apps like that. I'm not at the point where I want to launch it across the room due to slowness. It's just that new phone bug is starting to bite again, and I'm very interested to see how the newer phones speaker quality is and the reception of the signals. I was blown away the sound that came out of a 14 pro max. It's still impressive to me that I have been able to use a phone successfully for almost 4 years without much slowing down. My biggest issue right now is the constant crashing of voiceover on 16.5.1. This was originally a $700 phone, so the fact I got 4 years out of it is a good thing. Only thing I had done to it is have a new battery put into it at the end of last year.

I've had the 13 Pro Max and moved on to the latest 14 Pro Max! I have to confess that the battery life on the 13 Pro Max is marginally better. Leaving the on-display feature on doesn't really affect the battery usage throughout the day as I'm always left with around 60% before I charge it up every morning. I haven't benefited from the dynamic Island as I just haven't found a use case for it as I don't turn on live activities within certain apps as it can drain my phone's battery.

My 14 pro is in an Otter Box case, but not the Defender series. The dimensions are roughly 2 and a half inches wide by 6 inches tall and 1 inch thick when it is in the case. The battery life, after having it for a year is good. It will run for most of the day without recharging. I use it for messaging, texting, online chatting, gaming, GPS, surfing the Net, music playing and recording, working with Dropbox, and other such stuff on a daily basis. It is a bit heavier than my 12 pro was, but that is due to a heavier and better battery It has never gotten hot during charging or using. It fits in my shirt pocket and I never, ever will put it into a pants pocket. Remember the reports when the 6 came out about hot the phones were bending when they were put into pants pockets? I will not nor have I ever, put a phone in a pants pocket. They are either in a shirt pocket, or they are hung from a lanyard around my neck. Lastly, the 14 pro has better volume and stereo split than the 12 pro, which was better than the previous model I had, which was an 8. I hope this helps. One more thing: Someone mentioned how to use the Dynamic Island. He is absolutely correct in his evaluation.
