Farm RPG

Since fishing manually has proven impossible for the time being, I bought a fishing net but I don't see how it can be used.
I would appreciate some help with it.
Maybe I cannot use it in this little pond. Perhaps I would need to fish in a bigger place but, if I don't fish here then I won't be able to fish anywhere because I won't have a chance at increasing my fishing skill level.

Is exploring no longer accessible after buying the upgrades that use more stamina? It used to show me what I found in text, but now it’s just inaccessible images. Anyone else experience this?

Is the dev still working on accessibility improvements?

Exploring is still working for me. I also wanted to point out that you can go to town and hire a charter to fish.

I have done it and I've been having so much fun.
Now, if I may ask another question, I would love to know how to hire a charter so that he can fish for me?
Do I need to reach a certain level in order to do that?
By the way, how about the market District?
I was trying to buy some steaks but it appears to be impossible for me.

I thought this one sounded familiar, I remember trying the pc version a couple of years ago, which can be found on the above website, but after going through the tutorial, found fishing utterly inaccessible, thus making it impossible to progress through the tutorial tasks, so I never got far with the game over all, nice to know there is at least some degree of workaround, albeit it would be nice if the dev would fix fishing a bit more permanently, since if I remember rightly there were some achievements and other things only getable via manual fishing, and inaccessible activities in games are always a bit of a bummer.

Still nice to know there's a work around, I've been fancying a halfway decent farm game for a while so I'll check this one out, and hopefully with a few more people on board the fishing will be in some way fixed.

Okay I have been playing on pc, though I assume the Ios version works the same way.

The good news is, yes, you can use fishing nets and hire fishing charters in town to catch fish without having to do the silly click the circle inaccessible rubbish.

The bad news is, both of these methods cost gold, which is the game's premium and reward currency, and is used for stuff like unlocking permeant upgrades.

Given the amount of stuff that seems to be buyable with gold, I presume one can earn it by playing, but given it's the game's premium currency, there's going to be some degree of limit on this, though how much I've not determined as yet.

So the bottom line, yes there are accessible ways of fishing, but in both game terms, and indeed rl terms, they're probably expensive, so if the developer could create an accessible fishing alternative that would indeed be very much appreciated.

On the plus side, everything else seems just as accessible on pc as Ios, which is indeed a good thing.

Fishing skill is at level 17 now and yet I remain unable to hire chargers.
Am I doing something wrong?

You should be able to hire charters in town.
It's one of the options along with country store, farm market, flee market museum etc.
There's one option for fishing charters and one option for exploration charters.

Thank you. I was able to figure out another way to do this:
Locate the "go "button with direct touch, then double tap and hold with one finger for half a second.
Then go to the bottom of the screen and you will find the "yes" button or "OK" button.
To do this voiceover doesn't need to be turned off.
I will try it your way to see if it is more effective than what I have just described.
On another note, I am absolutely loving this game.
I am glad that the developer is very receptive and is taking steps towards making this game more accessible.
I hope we are able to fish manually because they have some pretty good achievements that I would like to unlock that way.
Also, I would love to try my luck at breaking codes.
There are other things that I would like to be able to do in this game but I just cannot think of them right now.
However, this game is awesome.

Hi guys, it seems like you are having a great time playing this game, but I don’t know where to start. There are a lot of things I’m just trying to figure out but I don’t get it.
Other thing that scares me is that there are not sounds at least for the few things I have done like change my user name.

Hello, really enjoying this game. Very addictive. Playing it in browser for 2 days. It does require some creativity when navigating but everything besides manual fishing seems to work well. I contacted the dev about that and they do want to make it accessible. Now I was listening to a youtube channel about this game and the guy mentioned a game that apparently is by the same dev and text based:

Not sure I am spelling meal worms right.
But anyway.
When you get some meal worms. You can manually fish. Although sadly this still does not get you the streak stuff.
It could also be a bit more accessible. I don’t like manual fishing. I prefer with the nets.
But sometimes daily chores has it listed and sometimes for whatever reason certain fish seem to be caught only manual fishing. Although they are extremely few.
Anyway here is how I do it.
You have to get some meal worms though.
There are images when you select a fishing location.
I don’t even bother to read the image descriptions. The images your looking for though are around the middle of the screen.
Basically its a drag your finger across that part of the screen looking for an image. When you have it double tap right away.
Keep doing this and I assure you if you have meal worms selected you will catch fish. Filling those non-streak based fishing achievements up slowly. But filling them.

BTW. This method works with the rest of manual fishing too. But the final step on the manual fishing there is a moving dot. That is essentially what makes most manual fishing inaccessible to us.
I have talked with firestream about this issue as well as well as the weird button issue where you have to turn voiceover off and back on again to hit a button. Such an easy issue to fix. I am wondering if using the website might make those buttons more accessible.
The ones that come to mind are:
The wishing well
The charter and expedition area
The stake and kabob area.
And maybe another area or two.
But the game is mostly accessible. Its amazing actually how well it works.
Sure the interface could be a bit easier. And you might (like I did) require some assistance by a sighted person. But my hopes are if enough of us politely contact the developer about these seemingly easy issues to fix they will be fixed.
The button issue I think quite simply is a matter of changing the button type to a link or a button. Right now it seems to be both which might be the issue. I am not sure. I am going only based on the info voiceover gives.
And a sighted person tried to help me on one screen. The craft works screen. So I will try their suggestion. But honestly that currently requires me turning voiceover off and back on again which I do not like doing.
But anyway.
Sorry for the length. But I love this game.

What’s the deal with multiplayer? What kind of multiplayer activities/interactions, if any, are there?

I really love the game style but can't figure out how to do the plant things.

I have decided to take a little breath from fighting games and got myself into playing something different. By the way, I have to say that I love farm RPG. It is awesome. Having a wonderful time.
I hope the developer keeps improving the game accessibilities.
I would love to be able to fish manually, and to unlock the achievements. Get myself a fishing streak. Also, I want to be able to crack open the vaults.

Ok, I am going to do something today. I am going to download this and try it on the pc. cause why not then i am going to put the url on discord. so people on there can sign up and try. yeah I will be on a roll today. I see a new addiction coming my way.

IWondering how manual fishing is going.

titan conquest, the other game, I found ridiculously complicated with it's interface, so much so it made the game really annoying to play, however farm rpg seems much better, so I'm wondering if matters improved.

There was some talk about fixing titan conquest a few years ago, so maybe that did get done, and it'd be great if manual fishing was possible.

It is no longer necessary to manually fish. You can donate items to the temple to earn gold fish as rewards. I saw this on Redit.

Any news on a manual fish fix?

I was enjoying the web version of the game but got stuck there on the tutorial, and while I know there are workarounds, I thought the developer was looking into something a bit more permenant.

Hello. This game has been brilliant open till now, but for some reason when I open the app, there’s just an image and nothing else at the moment and also the same thing applies on the web version. It won’t let me move from the image or anything, it’s just got this image and a description of a bird anyone else having this issue

I just closed the game and opened a few times and the game is working just fine. I am not having the problem that you were describing.
Perhaps it was a momentary issue.
Keep trying. The problem should be solved soon, if there is any problem at all.

Personally, I think the developer has done an awesome job in making this game accessible.
I love the fact that now you can open the vault without any problems.

Yes, it’s still doing the same thing. Don’t even know how to contact the developer because I can’t get into it.

The only part of the game that I am aware of having this problem is the alpha version. I am an alpha tester, and, at the moment, it is impossible to access the Alpha version of the game. They will fix it, and it will be running, if everything goes well, tomorrow.
But if you're talking about the live game, I don't know what could be going on because, as far as I know, it is working the way it is intended.

and, if I remember correctly, there is a way to get in touch with the developers in that page.
I have also checked the chat in the game and, as far as I know, nobody is mentioning a problem, such as the one you're having at the moment.

I've just started playing the game, I assume each seed has a specified amount of time you need to wait, how do you know how long it is, since I have not found anything that really tells me this information.

Hi. I had forgotten that this app was on AppleVis. Anyway, I have seen several references from the developer that he is aware of those who use screen readers and is working on improving accessibility. For the longest time I had to get my sighted wife to help me when solving the vault. The improvements are not perfect, but it is very much improved over the inaccessible one. I did send the dev some feedback recently regarding the announcements of colors and numbers as I move left and right across them. It seems like this could be easier, such as text indicating the first, second, third and further guesses. This would help me know which colors and numbers go with which guess as I move across them. I have tried using explore by touch and that doesn't work as well for the vault. I love this game! I have been playing for many hours a day for the last 4 months. Hubert: Welcome to Farm RPG. There are many aspects of the game, and it times it can seem overwhelming, but keep at it. Regarding harvesting and knowing the length of time for each crop, this information can be found in 2 places. First, when you go into the Town, and then go to the Country Store towards the top of the screen, all of the crops will be listed with the basic growing time mentioned after each one. I say "basic time" because there is another more direct way to go. From the app's home screen, find the link that says "My Inventory." This will list every crop, fish, craftible item, treasure--in other words, everything you have collected when playing the game. You will need to scroll down with 3 fingers many times to find the crops and seeds sections, which appear after the fish section. If you then double tap on the name of the crop you have grown or the seed name, you will have a screen which gives you every bit of info you could want about that item, including the growth time. Now, if you have gotten any of the gold or point perks, you will find the base time, and the amount of time with perks. For instance, since I have obtained points and have gotten many perks with them, my screen may say: Corn, base growth time= 4 hours, time with perks= 1.45 hours-ish. The great thing about the Inventory screen is you can activate any of the links for each item in your inventory, and learn that item's market selling price, growth time for crops, where to explore or fish to find the item; and much more! It took me a while to learn my way around the aspects of the game, but the inventory screen has proven to be a source I routinely return to. One other thing, though the Chat rooms can be challenging to navigate with VoiceOver, I have found that people are happy to offer assistance, wehter that be with information or in sending you items. Do pay attention to which room you are in, since certain things (like asking for or trading items) happen in certain rooms. Have fun!

hi all, i am really liking the concept of this title but is it not designed to be played on ios, as for me on ios 16,6 the focus when flicking is eratic, should i use touch and drag? I have planted, harvested and sold crops do i need to keep undertaking this for a while before moving on to other tasks, and how please do i read the mail, i assume it is in the inventory? I think i am going to be addicted to this once i get the hang of it. Will

Keep wanting to give this one a try, but always end up getting discouraged at the tutorial because yeah, you can buy fishing nets, but they cost money, and don't count towards completing the tasks.

Fishing is doable.
By using mealworms you just double tap on the fish image and you're able to fish manually.
Anyway, it is with fishing nets that you will advance in the game.
I fish manually from time to time but it is best to use nets because, honestly, it might take you a very long time to catch a decent amount of fish manually. With a large fishing net you can get lots of fish in one shot.

They are apparently working on an autofishing option with meal worms and they said we'd be able to use that to fish. They have also added a feature on a help request where you can listen to it instead of just reading it.

Even though the new feature "auto fishing" is still in Alpha, it is not yet known whether it will make it to the live game for certain.
If it does, it will make it easier to fish. The only thing you will need to make sure of is to keep a good amount of mealworms available. I've tested it and, so far, it is working great. The only thing is that it will not help you with the streak achievement. They are also working on a new skill. Right now, the skills available, are Farming, Fishing, Exploring, Crafting and Cooking. The new skill that may be coming soon is Mining.
Another great thing is the fact that there are a few audio quests.

At the moment there are only a few of them. The developers will be adding more from time to time but it doesn't mean that all quest will have audio.
Nevertheless, it is awesome to listen to a quest occasionally.

How far has everyone gotten into the game? I have unlocked the tower, and have climbed 140 floors. With 1000 and 300 help requests completed. I am about 60 floors, and 200 more help requests away from reaching the end of the game. But the developers will be adding Much more things and so I won’t get bored.

Does this game have any sounds, or is it all just plane text?
I mean minus the hep quests or whatever, that you can listen to.
Like does it have ambient sounds, or sounds for when you're doing stuff?

SO far this game seams quite a bit inaccessible to me, it's not a very fun experience.

Perhaps someone could do a podcast and show us what is fun about the game?

I like the idea of this game, but whenever I play on desktop, I always get mildly discouraged in the tutorial when I'm told to go and fish and I can't!

So I'm hoping this "auto fishing" feature does indeed make it into the game.

On ios it just seams very clunky. I'll try it again but I don't know if it's for me.

It's a fun little time waister but yeah, it's really clunky.

I've contacted the devs on redddit and they're aware of the issues and are, as far as I know, slowly fixing them.

I'm stuck in the beginning of the game because i can't fish.

Oh BTW, if you're interested and on IOS; there's music in the game. You need to go into settings and find it there.
