First iffy bug found

Apple Beta Releases

Ok guys I've come across a bug which is quite serious in itself. Using the first iOS 17 public beta. When using Siri UK voices as your main voice. Note I have not tried any other Siri voices as it means downloading them all and this does not appear to affect any other voices. The issue is when using the UK Siri voices flicking through the apps on the home screen works perfectly fine until I get to an app on row 2 column 4. After then flicking VO disappears. Almost as if you have done a three finger double tap to turn off speech. However the only way to get vo back is to turn it off and on again. Oddly, this only appears to happen on the first page of apps and only at that exact location. Could be unique or may happen for other people somewhere else hence putting in exactly where it fails. I'm using iPhone 13 pro. Reported to Apple.

This happens to me too. It happens in several spots, but I can't figure out what triggers it. All I know, is that if an item causes speech to glitch, that same item will always cause speech to glitch, which makes it really hard when it happens in an email.

I am experiencing same here. I am using UK Siri voice to and I change to US Samantha, still experiencing the same issue with voiceover.

Odd as I stated in the original post for me all voices apart from Siri work fine. So, Samantha works just fine. Only came across it by accident as I found a new Siri voice for the uk and wanted to try it. Don't think Siri 3 and 4 were there in 16 but could be wrong there.
