iPadOS 17 Siri speech to text improved?

Apple Beta Releases

I've installed the public iPadOS 17 beta on my iPad; I'm not risking installation on my main device, the iPhone yet. I, and many of the people I support, have had annoying trouble with Siri in both iOS and iPadOS 16. It has frequently been very difficult to get Siri to interpret spoken commands correctly. I'm unsure if this issue is experienced elsewhere but it's certainly a problem in the UK. My initial experience with the iPadOS 17 beta is that Siri's speech to text is reliable again. Maybe I've just been lucky so far. I'd be interested to hear from others please.

I’m trying dictation now, and it seems to be working well as long as I’m careful and don’t mumble or run words together. When I’ve given Siri voice commands for settings and shortcuts, she’s understood me straight away. There were a couple times where I had to repeat myself when asking her to go away, but other than that it’s been fine. I’m in the US.
