Hi all,
I have a text document, currently in Word but it can easily be copied into Text Edit or another app.
I'd like to create an mp3 audio recording of the file being spoken by a TTS.
I could have sworn there used to be a feature for this in Mac OS, but I can't find it now. Does it exist?
Cheers,
Dave

There used to be a feature called Add to iTunes as a Spoken Track. Now it is replaced with Add to Music as a Spoken Track. Here is how it works:

Add to music as a spoken track
Hi, David Woodbridge recorded a podcast on this feature a while ago. I am currently in the process of trying to learn how it works
Thanks guys. I successfully…
Thanks guys. I successfully got it working with those instructions. Only issue is that I can't seem to change the speech rate. I tried messing around with system voice in System Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content, but this is not working out too well.
I can speed it up using Amadeus Pro, but that is making it sound a bit weird and echoey.
I will look for David's podcast too, cheers.
Dave
Another option
Speech central can do this as well.
