Hey there everyone.
I've got a quick question for you all.
Has anyone else experienced braille displays losing focus with in a kindle or voicedream reader book?
example.
You read a bit of a page and it jumps you to the beginning of the page. and you lose your spot.
If so, is their a way to fix it? I'm running iOS 16, latest with the nls eReader zoommax.
Help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

That has been a bug for a while. It was to be fixed, but I am dealing with it as well on my display. Its IOS unfortunately.

After the last two updates, I've been having a problem with losing focus. It's not on any particular app but most of them. I don't know if something is crashing but I hear, screen curtain on and I find myself at the beginning of the page. I'm not using a Braille display, just voiceover with the screen curtain on.

Does anyone think it'll be fixed with 16.6?
Its quite annoying, if I'm honest.

Hi. We've been bemoaning this for awhile and I really really, really hope this is fixed. Here's hoping for IOS 17. Some possible things I've found to work include, but are not consistent:

When in a Kindle book with my Q-Braille, I sometimes do have to scroll up with the panning keys to the . top of the page After I turn the page, I may be place in the middle or bottom. If I touch my Kindle Fire tablet with one finger, that generally puts focus back on the top of the page.

When on IOS, it has been mentioned to go into Settings, VoiceOver: Braille: turn off pages while panning. It's counter-intuitive, but it can help when trying to turn the next page or go to the top.

These Braille bugs make me never want to update ever again, which I know is ridiculous. Perhaps I should just have one device for pure testing that will not affect my work-flow or leisure reading pleasure. Then I wouldn't screw everything up like I did when updating all my devices to 16.5, as I did. But, who has the means to have a device just for testing? Please, Apple: Do you have anyone working for you who is blind USING (in all caps). a Braille display that knows this darned thing is broken?!!!

End of rant!
