Hello all:

i have a symbole that i do not want VOice over to read it.
so, i went to Accessibility-VoiceOver-Speech-pronounciation, and i wrote the unwanted symboel, let's say this is 🔰
i went to substitution and i wrote Space bar.
now VOice over still reads the symbole, is there a way to achieve this? or what can i do to not allow VOice over to read this bad 🔰?
Thanks in advance

I tried with some words, and it is working, but with Emojies it is not working at all.
so, is there a solution for not let VOice over SPeak a Espasific Emoji?

Or you could try using the custom punctuation announcement feature?
Haven't tried it myself, just some thoughts.

Where is this Custom anouncement?
can not find it.
i can let VOice over just speak or do not speak Emojies.
so, what?

Voice Over has a function that allow you to customise the way it reads punctuations, instead of following its built-in grouping to the letters.
To access the feature, follow this path: Voice Over Utilities, » Verbosity, » Text, » and choose the option called "Customise" from the punctuation menu. It will then allows you to add a new punctuation announcement group, modify a pronunciation of a preset group etc...
You can try adding a new symbol to the left column, and then choose appropriate functions on the other two columns on the right.
Hope it's clear enough. If you have trouble, please let me know the specific symbol you want to modify its pronunciation. I'll try to put down concrete steps in my instruction next time.
