Monitoring sleep with Apple Watch

watchOS and Apple Watch Apps

Hi, all. I don't have one of the latest Apple watches, so I'm wondering how accessible it is to monitor your sleep. What kinds of info can you get and how do you access that info--on the watch itself, or within the Watch app on your iPhone? Thanks for any info. Someone I know would like to monitor what's happening with their sleep and they use VoiceOver on their phone.

It is accessible. It gives you a report on 7 days of the week.

First of all, the watch has to be at a certain battery percentage, I think 50 or 35 to start monitoring. Second, I believe you have to set a bedtime, I could be wrong. The phone keeps track of the stats and they show up in the health app under sleep if you get it set up right. You can see things like total sleep and sleep stages, and you can find things like the times of the night and what sleep stage you were in. It isn't perfect, if you are awake and very still, it may well show you as asleep. I've even had miss me getting up to use the bathroom.

I use it every day. I charge my watch at 6:00 AM when I wake up. It tends to have battery of %50. If you set an alarm in the health app it will work. Also you need to turn it on. I believe there is a podcast on setting the sleep app. The battery level does not affect the sleep feature.
