A Question About Switching Voices in WatchOS 9

Hello everyone.
It seems that I am having a bit of an issue when it comes to getting my voiceover voice to switch on my watch. When I go into voiceover settings and go into speech, I can download voices, add rotor languages and the like, but the voice still won't change. I have tried a bunch of different voices: Samantha and others, but nothing seems to work. For the record, I am stuck using the US Siri voice at the moment. Has anyone else experienced this bug, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

Hi. Sometimes devices are weird and even though you switched the voice, it sometimes just wants more juice. This isn't to say you don't have plenty of battery life, it's just tech being tech. I'd select whatever voice you want, put it on the charger and head for bed or something else. I'm sure when it charges to full it will be ok. If that doesn't work, you might want to restart the watch, again because tech is tech. Hope this helps.

Tech definitely likes tobe tech. No doubt about that. Alright, I will try these methods and see if any of it works. I am hoping for the best. Otherwise I will just go with the nuclear option and reset the thing.

Try this.
After selecting the voice to use, manually delete the previous voice. You should hear the watch speaking with the currently selected voice. Unfortunately, when you put the watch back on the charger, it will revert to using the Siri voice.
The workaround. After switching voice, turn off the watch before charging it. The watch should continue to use your selected voice once it comes on. Not sure if this will work if your watch is not password protected. And if this works, you must turn off the watch each time before putting it on the charger.
