iCloud app failing to install on windows 11

Hello everybody!
I am noticing a very interesting problem when attempting to install icloud for Windows 11. I go into the Microsoft store, find the icloud app and install it. I go to open it now, the app just sits there and says getting things ready. Progress bar stays at 0% and it stayed that way for hours yesterday. There are no other controls and I cannot figure out why the progress bar isn't moving. Does anyone have any suggestions on what may be going on and how best to resolve it?

Could you find it on the apple store? I installed iTunes via apple.com because the iTunes did not work well from microsoft store. Maybe apple has it. Also when I attempted to install in my windows 10, got an error message.

Lately Apple servers have been going to absolute heck.
So I wanted the reason why you couldn’t install iCloud the windows is possibly because of the iCloud service being down? I hope they’ve actually resolved that.

Sane for iTunes but you can get it from there. I figure if you look you could also find for iCloud.

Simply reboot. You're interested in the shell extension, control panel applet and system tray applet. So once it's installed, just restart. See if it appears. If not you might try elevating to admin to run the app. It applies to Win10 too, by no means an 11-only issue. Good luck.

I’ve had this for months and looking at other forums, so I have many people. I’ve tried running it as an admin and checking my firewall but nothing has allowed it to work. One father member said that they contacted Microsoft and they help them install it successfully. Perhaps worth trying the Microsoft accessibility helpdesk or via Be My Eyes. I will give it a try over the weekend and feedback when I can

I have a friend who has tried to install it multiple times, and she also gets the same getting things ready prompt with no progress. I hope this is resolved soon. Thankfully, it works for me at the moment, but I hate that others can't enjoy moving files from their PC to the phone so easily. Can you say ringtones anyone?
