I am trying to help a good friend of mine pair his apple watch with his new phone. He doesn't have his old phone any more. I followed the directions on the apple watch web site, and here's where I run into trouble. When going to settings>general>reset, I double-tap erase all content and settings. There is a warning that asks if I'm sure I want to do this, and voiceover will not find the button to say yes. How do I work around this? The watch is running Watch OS 9.3. I also tried the same thing on my watch, running 9.4 and I have the same problem. Does anyone have a way to work around this, so my friend can reset his watch? Thanks much in advance for your help/feedback.

I haven’t encountered this problem
Something you could try would be turning VoiceOver off and then back on again. Otherwise, instead of swiping left and right to find the button. Just touch on the screen until you hear the button. Hopefully that works. Another option would be to get someone cited to find the button so that the Apple Watch can be reset.
Turning voiceover off and on…
Turning voiceover off and on again did not help. I wonder if this has been reported to apple accessibility? Having to find a sighted person should not be a requirement for something we should be able to do independently.
Swipe down with 2 fingers
Hi,
Try a 2 finger swipe down. Voiceover should then find the button.
Still does not work.
Hello, Now that I've got my AppleVis account restored, we'll see if I can reply. I'd first like to thank Guy who posted this topic originally last evening on my behalf! Thank you bud. Thank you for the suggestion of a 2-finger swipe down from the top of the screen. However, this does not work either. All the watch reads is that it's a heading and not a button. So far, between him and I, we've found 3 different models of Apple Watches that have all run into this issue!!
It's fixed!!
Well... It's fixed!! I continued working with the watch and discovered that I had not been placing my fingers on the correct side of the watch. Once I did so, it read the button as it should have! After the watch rebooted from the hard reset, we discovered that 3 medium speed presses of the crown aren't fast enough to turn VoiceOver on, I need to be pressing it faster. So, with all of that said, it's now syncing with the new phone and all appears to be working well!! Thank you to both of you for the time and help you've given to assist me with this issue!!
Best regards!
Do you have digital crown navigation turned on?
If you have digital crown navigation turned on, then I'd twirl the crown, for lack of a better description, towards you pinky finger, and it might here erase all content and settings. If you don't have this on or want to turn it on, I find it easier and faster, two finger triple tap, it should say digital crown navigation on or off. Hope this helps, Now excuse me while I go crawl into a hole as a cold or something has beaten me to a pulp
two-finger swipe up
Hey there Ke8Upe, what actually worked was a two-finger swipe up. That got us where we could tap erase all. Thanks much for your help though. 73
