II saw now that slide to type is on Swedish. I would like to learn it. I have a friend who use it in another country and she says it's a blast and I wonder if any tips out there?

Well, First, the obvious, learn how it works. If you're not sure, the basic idea is to hold your finger(s) down until you hear a beep, and slide around the keyboard in the shape of the word you're trying to make, is as if you were typing. When Voiceover says the word you're trying to type, lift your hand then start again. You don't need to press space at all, which is nice. If the word isn't the one you want, hitting delete removes the *whole* word you just typed and you can start again.

That's the technical bit. Once you can actually type, comes the hard part. You have to use it, a lot. Even when it's a lot slower than whatever you were doing before. Even when you want to throw the device across the room because it's gotten the word wrong three times in a row, keep going. I'd say you have to give it a real try for at least a couple of weeks using it for almost everything you'd normally use your older typing method for. I usually go longer than that, at least a month, before I decide if I like it or if it's better than whatever I was doing before.

About the only exception I'd make would be passwords and maybe passcodes, but since I haven't really used slide typing much I'm not sure, but it certainly applied when I learnt direct touch typing.
