iOS 16.4, iPhone SE 2020, VoiceOver speaks gibberish?

I recently did factory reset on iPhone SE 2020. Voice over now speaks gibberish, in addition to text. The issue is consistent throughout all apps. Apple support said this is a known issue. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions? Thank you!
Sounds to me like yet another issue Apple is in no hurry to fix. I've been running across a few of those lately. I've not personally run across that one, but just the fact that they told you it's a known issue tells me that it's yet another of the issues that'll be with us for a long time to come.
