Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms
Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.
If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

Eloquence
I would Eloquence in watchOS. it’s on everything else released last year, so why isn’t it on the watch? it bafels me why it isn’t!
Pinned favorites in Music app
It would be super great to have the ability for adding favorites right to the initial screen of the music library. As I could sort songs or albums by recently added, the recently added area could be removed and replaced by pinned favorites like frequently played playlists, albums, or artists. I have more than 30,000 songs in my library sorted in more than 100 playlists and would therefore absolutely appreciate this feature.
VoiceOver and further accessibility enhancements
I'd also like to see the following VO enhancements:
- Detailed adjustment option for any sliders: Maybe after double-tapping on a slider, VoiceOver says something like "detailed adjustment. Speech Rate. 50 Percent. Adjustable". When you then swipe up or down, each swipe will increase/decrease the slider one percent. When you swipe right to the next element or left to the previous element or tap anywhere so the slider gets out of focus, the detailed adjustment would stop. When focusing the slider again, you simply have to double-tap again on it.
- Independent VoiceOver volume: It would be super nice to turn the ring tone volume up to 100 % but without VoiceOver crying through the speakers every time when a call comes in
Further Accessibility enhancements:
- Live Audio Descritpions: Similar to Live Captions, the system could generate live audio description to any video which is currently playing on the screen. This could be possible through the powerful Neural Engine (A Neural Processing Unit) and the best of it, it would be performed completely locally on the device without the need of an active internet connection.
Bugs
I just want Apple to fix bugs and make sure VO is updated. I am not interested in any type of gimmicks.
A.I.-based SIRI
I'd love to see a completely revamped SIRI based on the latest generative A.I. technology, with the ability to interface with inaccessible websites and user interfaces on my behalf.
More music app sorting feature options
I am a huge music lover, among many other media choices, one of the things I would like to see is to be able to open a given playlist, and then be able to sort it, by such things as alphabetical, artist, album.
I would also like to be able to sort by explicit or not explicit, meaning that, if the song actually has the word explicit in its title, I would like to be able to find all of the titles of that specific song, that do not have the word explicit listed in it, and be able to remove those. There are some of the bands that I like, that the not explicit versions of the songs are just not desirable.
This particular playlist needs a bit of cleaning, because I believe I have duplicated songs. I know you can do some of this work on iTunes, but I have not actually utilized iTunes on my Windows PC longer than I even remember. Lol I would like to be able to do all of this on my iPhone. I don't see why we don't have these options. They seem pretty simple to me.
Here's to hoping we can do more sorting in the future.
Focus issue
I'd love to see the focus issue actually fixed.
Live audio description
You can use screen regonition to get very rudimentary live audio description while watching a video.
Dead space between elements
I’d like obviously for the bugs to be fixed. Safari to be made useful again and something I’ve wanted for a long time is for the dead space between VO elements to be removed. I don’t know if this is possible but it feels like VO could estimate which element you are closest to and act as if you were touching that element instead of just giving the bong bong bong sound to say I’m not on an active element. It would save an enormous amount of hunting around the screen especially on iPad. Maybe keep that lower bongy sound to say you’re not on an element but say the name of the element you are nearest as if you were touching it. Double tapping or split tapping would activate that element just the same as if you were actually within its boundaries. Mostly though I know it’s not very imaginative but I’d just like to love my devices again instead of resist using them especially when safari is involved. I find that I’m drawn toward safer things to do like mindlessly scrolling YouTube and watching endless videos instead of doing great things that would improve my life simply because those things are becoming harder to do. Moving to a windows laptop with JAWS has started to show me how much I’m avoiding doing things on apple devices and how thats affecting my life. JAWS is simply more solid and competent which means I don’t avoid trying new things anymore and I bet that isn’t what apple’s accessibility statement and ideals had in mind.
@Andy Lane
Yes, fix bugs and VO handling of the Web. I turned off the empty-space sounds, but I think the actual issue is that the elements on the screen are too small for a finger tip. Swiping around the screen seems to be necessary in a lot of situations. I know a few sighted people who have to use a stylus on phone/tablet screens for that reason. One even has an Android with a stylus permanently tethered to it's side. I wish I knew if there was a way to make the buttons and so on larger that would also work with VO. It might be worth the cost of having fewer things on the screen.
Sounds for the love of whatever power you believe in
Please, make watch OS have the sounds assigned to contacts. So when my dude says hi, I don't respond hey babe, to a friend not him. Lmao Also please have newer sounds. I mean come on, how many times have you heard a phone ring and you do the pocket tap. Me? Me/ You? down the row until it's the person's ring. Ugh.
I hope siri will support multy languages as once
I hope siri can support multiple languages as once.
it means we can choose 2 languages and thenfor example: we speak spanish then it will use spanish to get back to us. and then we speak english it will use english to reply us no need to change it in the siri setting.
HEXAGON I can get behind your wish list and eloquence improvem
If everyone on the betas use the feedback app and submit this feedback that would be awesome. If you aren't running the beta send suggestions to accessibility or to
apple.com/feedback.
so, very, loud
I just wish apple would do something so when my ringtone is loud, VO wouldn't make me the center of spotlight by announcing the callers name or phone number as loud as possible. I've recently switched to IOS and this has been the worst thing I've had to get used to. Also any suggestions are welcome, any workarounds or something...
Better VO Support when labeling tracks
This is a good thread. I posted about this elsewhere on AppleVis, and I'm unsure how exactly to go about it. Apple Accessibility told me to contact an AppleCare representative, but I can't afford it at this time. It seems that, when attempting to label music tracks with VoiceOver and then saving those labels, the track order gets screwed up. I've only tried doing this on the Mac, and if others have found a viable solution please advise. I haven't even used the music app on my iPhone 7 that much. I know it's there, and it seems to be pretty accessible. I might try it out some more and then when I upgrade to another phone make a habit of downloading/purchasing some music.
It's tricky, sounds
Hi. For the one who hates voice over yelling out, trust me at three A.M. it scares the hell out of you. Seriously though, I have a large issue with sounds. Here's my experiment. Go to the sounds, pick an alert, turn off voice over completely. Then touch that sound or ones around it. The volume is at least, twenty five percent louder with voice over off. Yet apple ducked the sounds some years back, because hearing a text message being read out when you're on the phone kind of was a bit jarring. I'd like louder sounds in general, stop ducking them. I know why apple did this, but it's annoying when phone's in my purse. Also, here's another thing I discovered. I couldn't add my net network password for the life of me. It would play a sound, not the click secure sound i was entering leters. As soon as I check the show password box, it went away and I was able to type this in my computer. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature but if I don't want to show the password, I should be able to type it in. Here's to the next release.
