Apple Beta Releases

Hello,
Happy Wonderful Wednesday to all!
I have some great news regarding the latest beta, which was just released today, for those of us in the developer program.
Those of you who are in the public beta program will most likely get this update tomorrow, but iOS16.4 beta 4, fixes whatever bug caused Eloquence to not be able to say its own name, when selected in settings/accessibility/voiceover.

This makes me super happy & definitely tells me that Apple accessibility does, in fact, take our feedback seriously.
I was on the phone with them recently & at the end of our conversation, I thanked them for doing the great work that they do. I thought it was a good idea, since they recently came on here & thanked us.

Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

Hello, and happy Wednesday to everyone except those who pay corporation tax in the UK and for whom Wednesday will be, at best, a mixed bag. the Chancellor has been on the Hunt, you see.

Anyway, I wondered if Eloquence still crashes for other words? there was a word a few years back, I remember, whihc caused eloquence to crash every time. This would have been in about 2004 or 2005, I believe. I remember some enterprising jackanapes of a fellow changing his MSN Messenger profile name to this particular word so as to entrap all the blindies out there. It worked a treat.

I've been very disappointed with Eloquence on IOS so far and won't be turning to it until all the pronunciations, crashes and so on are fixed. It's good to see that some attention is being paid, at least, to some of the problems flagged.

I'm installing it, Dennis. But it would be highly unlikely to be implemented at this development stage. And, for the umpteenth time, please fix the Eloquence boxiness/low volume/muffled audio!

I completely agree with Amir.

So I'm not the only one who found Eloquence very, very softly spoken? That was extremely annoying - I had to turn up the Voiceover volume to maximum just to be able to get what I normally get out of other voices. I normally have volume down at 20% or 30% except when in noisy environments.
