Hello all:
I have my G-rade hard desk, it is connected via USB to my mac studio, from about 3 or 4 weeks, i start listening to strange crackling while using the HD, i i think it is stopped when i stop using it, and stop which means do not open files or recording on it.
i did first aid on the HD, and it appears that everything is running smoothly,
so, what can cause this crackling sound? frankly i do not want to send it to a tecnition to fix it, before i can try to find a solution.
so, please, waht are your recommendations and suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your termendus support

it is going to bite the dust.
it seems that it is dying, better to back up your data before that happens
i did, but is there a solution to save his life?
I did, and i bought a new Hard desk for recording, but is there anyway to save it? or to know what is going on ?
It might be dying depending
Depending on how long you've had that drive for and how much used you've put it through, it could very well be in its last legs. I don't think there's much you can do at this point, other than getting a new drive. However if you haven't had this drive for long, something else could be the problem of the crackling sound.
8 years may be
It is working for more than 8 years. recording music and data storage.
so, should i stop using it or what?
