I'm trying to create a shortcut where everytime I use speak screen on a book, I.e, on kindle, voiceover speech mutes, like when one does a 3 finger double tap. However, I cannot find the action to mute voiceover speech... Am I missing something obvious?

Can't you Simply record the gestures into the shortcut that takes you to your home screen, then to settings, then to accessibility, then to voiceover, then to turning off voiceover? You can triple click the power button to turn it back on when you want voiceover back on.

Probably, but I don't want voiceover to turn off, I want to just mute voiceover speech. I'm surprised these commands aren't available in the shortcuts app, to be honest.

Why not just make an Activity under VO to mute the voice when Kindle is active? I'm sure there are more dynamic functions within Activities, but it is probably your best bet for what you want. πŸ™‚
