Are there any accessible telegram clients for ios? I used to use bright guide but, its not letting me login even though I input the correct code telegram sends me. Are there any other accessible telegram clients for ios? Simply put, the native telegram app is beyond unfriendly and its not accessible, things aren't labeled, voiceover just reads them as, logo other or, logo, ticket... Its just not a good experience to use.

Unfortunately, there is no screen reader compatible app. I am using Telegram on the web. It is very well compatible

Dennis, I'm trying TG Connect. It seems to be at least as accessible as, if not less accessible than, the official Telegram client. But it needs more investigation as I think it might be marred by similar access issues. Maybe we can contact the developer to take care of them. Sadly, the app is free so I'm not sure if the dev is motivated to take care of any potential access issues.

I think best gram, from what i've tested, is the best alternative. Tg connect shows the same problems as the native telegram client.

I emailed the TVG dev we'll see if I get a response.

The problem is that Bestgram isn't updated frequently and is, at this stage, several API releases behind the official one. So if this is feasible, getting the TG Connect developer to fix access issues would be great for all of us.

Thanks, Dennis. I'll be doing the same shortly.

Hopefully tg connect can become fully accessible. It is a shame though, telegram's developer's lack of caring when it comes to accessibility. I mean, your forced to use screen recognition 99percent of the time to know what the heck your doing which, is not what i'd call accessible; at all. I don't know if the telegram developers are aware of the accessibility issues for blind people with their native client or not, but it would be worth contacting them as well to make telegram natively accessible. I would like to think that they are unaware of the issues or simply ignorant at that, but who knows, really. For all we know, their well aware of the mess in accessibility telegram is and don't care one bit, which could very well be another possibility. Either way, if possible, we should contact them as well.
