Hello!
In IOS 16.2, when i read text written by Latin symbols with diacritical characters, such as Lithuanian language letters in words, the voiceover with eloquence synthesizer does not pronounce those characters. When i read the text character by character, by letter, it pronounces diacritical characters, but if i read the text word by word, line by line or read by say all, the text where there is such a character in a word, the synthesizer this character does not pronounce, skips.
Eloquence synthesizer skips this symbols:
ą č ę ė į š ų ū ž

examples of words and correct pronunciation:
ąsotis - asotis, čiči - chichi, sęmia - semia, ėdė - ede, įvykį - ivyki, šaškės - shashkes, ūsas - usas, musų - musu, žuvo - zhuvo.

i also discovered this kind of bug, and submited bunch of feetbacks, emails to Apple's Accessibility, and always get the same reply: „Apple is investigating this problem“. it continues from summer. could you plese tell me, is this so difficult to fix it more then 6 months? If I took so long doing such simple tasks, I would definitely lose my job! What they doing then?

Having done private testing for several things over the years some bugs are easier then others to fix. that is the one thing people don't realize.

I notice many bugs actually, this being one of the more serious ones. I I notice it saying things such as WIsconsin fi, using state names almost every time I there are two letters such as AR, NE or SE. Another irritating one I notice is when it says inches if the word in is followed by a with a period. The speech rate jumps are also quite large, specifically with FLow and Sandy. I'm not sure why this hasn't been fixed sincd iOS 16 has been out to the public since September, but I really hope it does at some point so I may use it fulltime as i originally intended.

sure, I can understand, but why nobody can't simply explain why it takes so long time In this case it's enough describe diacritic symbols like latin symbols. Or allow users to do it on them own using pronunciation feature, but heare you can describe only intire word.
By the way, I can't see this bug in release notes, where known issues is described, or even in Applevis ios bugs list.

This bug affects me too. In Windows, I can use the Eloquence and It read Turkish characters but on my Mac and iPhone it can not read some characters reading a content, it skips the characters like
"Ş İ"
or
"Ğ"
Interestingly, Eloquence sometimes skips letter i in English texts.
