No when you are in the article, flick up with one finger. That will send you to sharing if you do it 2 times. When you flick up, you will hear something, Keep doing it until you hear share. Tap on it and do what you do to share.
Whereas I always used to see a "Share" button at the top of an article, it seems like that button is now gone for some News articles. These days, if you don't see the "Share" button, you will find a 'More" button. when you activate that, one of the options is to share the article.

To the second commenter, I tried looking under More and Share wasn’t there.
Sweet Dawn. The article. Up until you hear share. Do not do anything else. Find the article, flick up. VO will give you several choices keep going up until you hear share. It works well with google news and apple news.
I always find share under the more button once inside the article. I think the flicking up works when you are in the list of articles, not inside the actual article. SIRI also can be used by saying "share this article [insert name of person you want to share with].

Do you mean swipe left to tab left? Swipe up doesn’t make sense to me. If I swipe/tab left, I don’t get a Share option.
