Adding Sonos to Home app

I'd like to try setting up my Sonos so I can control it with Siri. (In part so I can try it with my Apple Watch).

Has anyone done this? In the instructions it says to go to the Home app on my phone and add an accessory, then say that I don't have a product code to scan. But I can't find that option anywhere, so I'm wondering if there's a VoiceOver trick I need to do to find it?

At the top of the add ccessory screen it says "Scan code or hold iPhone near the accessory. More options…" which suggessts there's maybe a menu I can get. But I'm not sure how to find it? I've tried double tapping, tap and holding, swiping up and down....

I did somehow manage to get up. list of accessories at one point, and it looked like my Sonos speakers were there. I tried tapping on one and it said I needed HomePod to control it, which I don't have. But I can't be sure I tapped the right thing and I cannot find this list again. The Sonos instructions don't say that a HomePod is needed.

I know this is going to end up being a stupid questino again, but does anyone know how to do this with VoiceOver?

Apple just revoked some parts of home kit, seeing they now have to play nice with things like google I think. I would love to control my smart thermostat with my watch. i mean i like the google home app but it's kinda clunky. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not convinced. I posted on the Sonos forum and I think the problem is accessing the"mot options" link with VoiceOver. I'll have another mess around with it today and see if I can find a way to get to it.
Maybe I can do this on my Mac. I opened the Home app for the first time there and it's one of those horrible interfaces made up of un-labelled Collections so think it might take some time to figure out what's going on there.

I found some sighted help and the "more options" bit is a link. Tapping that brings up a list of accessories and it seemed to work from there. But I can't find any way to do it with VoiceOver. I've emailed Apple accessibility.

I couldn't get anywhere with the Home app on the Mac. I'm not sure if it's accessible or not. I just found some collections, and couldn't get into any of them. Some of the first party apps on the Mac are just horrible. Or maybe I just don't know how to use them.

My next problem is that I can't seem to get Siri to actually interact with my Sonos speaker now. But at least it's in the list.

The Home app on the Mac does make a little more sense once you have rooms.

I guess it's a split-view thing like Mail where you have the "home" side bar on the left (maybe?) and details of that room on the right. So using VO+J goes between those two sections, plus toolbar which seems to have nothing in it. When on the Home collection, using arrow keys up and down without VO modifier does select them. From there it does sort of make sense.

I do find these apps to be so counter-intuitive at times.
