Looks like Voice Memos could be extremely useful for my purposes, if only I could easily locate & activate app for recording. I’ve tried to move Voice Memo to home page on my Iphone without luck so far. Is there somewhere else it can be located beside in utilities folder on page 2? Would be great if I could use Siri to start recording on VM. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can even have it on your dock to make it easy to activate it. Just move one of your apps out of the dock area, then drag the voice memo app to the dock area.

After dragging any item from a folder, (in this case Voice Memos from the Utility Folder), first swipe down and double tap on the Close Folder option. Thereafter you should be able to move it wherever you want. Swipe with three fingers to navigate through the various pages of your homescreen. Touch any item, swipe down and double tap on Swipe Before ... or After ...

I have Voice Memos moved to control panel so I can swipe down with two fingers open it up and it’s right there along with screen recording

I have a Siri shortcut that enables me to ask my phone to record new voice memo and it opens the voice memos ap and starts recording. It was one of the shortcuts that apple provided in the shortcuts app, which means that knowledge of how to create your own shortcuts is not needed.
