a few questions about using iphone/ipad with a bluetooth keyboard

Hello,
I just got a bluetooth keyboard to be used with my iPad which should be coming in tomorrow. I connected it to my iPhone, just to test it out, and am having a few issues. First, it is just a cheap keyboard off Amazon, one meant to be compatible with mac, Windows, iOS and even Android if I'm not mistaken. So, usually there are shortcuts to switch between each of the different operating systems to make it compatible for each. I have no idea which should be used to put it in to mac/iOS mode. If anyone has experience with these off brand keyboards and knows which commands usually work, any help would be appreciated.
Secondly, is there any way to enable quick nav on iOS or iPad OS? having to hold down cmd is rather annoying. I'm coming from a Mac, so I want to make the keyboard commands as mac like as possible. Sold the mac, as I really needed a Windows machine for some stuff relating to my online radio station, but also decided to pick up the iPad pro. So, I went out the other day and got the cheapest possible laptop I could find, and also ordered the iPad, so I figure this way, I can have the best of both worlds. Also, VO seems to receive a bit more love on iOS and iPad OS as compared to Mac OS, so that is good. Having said that, I would rather not have to learn a complete new set of commands. Is there any way to make the commands more like the mac, and to enable something like the keyboard commander on the iPad? Beautifull thing about the iPad is you don't have to use a keyboard for everything, but when I do, making it work as close to what I am already used to would be a plus.

Hit the left and right arrows simultaneously to toggle Quick Nav on and off.

I always use a bluetooth keyboard with my iPhone when traveling since I don't take my main PC with me. The blue tooth keyboard works fine with iOS. Since the gestures are so easy on the phone, I often use a combination of gestures and keyboard hotkeys (since I don't know all of the hotkeys).

So I have done that, and still no luck, it still doesn't want to work.
