Hey guys. I want to be very very clear right from the start, OK? I am generally not a gamer for several reasons.
First, I'm not going to go into much detail, but growing up, I had some very traumatic things in real life happen that I was exposed to, and therefore, I find a lot of the typical games out there like bang bang shoot 'em up or kill this type thing, even if only a mythical creature to be very very triggering for me. Plus, I am very strong in my spiritual faith, and just find that a handfull of games out there go against my morals as far as their over all plots. So, I've gotta therefore be really really careful. I get entirely that they are games, make believe, but anyway, that's another discussion entirely. The point is, for that reason, and also that I have a profound hearing loss, and therefore even with my hearing aids connected to my iPhone, a lot of times, it's very difficult for me to easily track sounds coming at me from different directions and follow where things are coming from. So, the more 3D sound/spacial audio arcade type games just don't work for me. I've had an open enough mind to try them, but yeah, they just don't work. Plus, they tend to be a bit scensory overload for me.
All that said, I'm also not very good with mathematical type logic problem solving games, so therefore, most dice and card games are out of the picture. On Diceworld, I almost got the hang once of Yahtzee, but I found I was having to think so much about the rules that it took away from the fun side of it.
So, what I'm here tonight to ask is, what accessible games on either the mac or iOS, preferably iOS, are out there that you all may could get me started for either free, or for very little with trying that might work for me not really requiring much math skills, nor sound direction listening skills?
I really really really like the Lifeline games about Taylor and such, and found them to be incredibly fun. Pretty much if it's text adventure where it follows a story, and you rollplay along with it, and then choose from multiple choices to advance things along, and your choice effects the outcome, I love to pieces! those type games as since they're text based, there's nothing to worry about listening for, or physically moving and aiming toward to shoot, or hit etc. So any type text based game, I'd really like. I'm not much into mud type things, as I never seem to remember all the commands to type. I prefer interactive multiple choice, or A.I based things which can figure things out just by me typing simple english answers. Either/Or.
As for the app I am looking for though, there was an app back in the days I had, and I think I removed it just because at the time, I wasn't really into gaming, which I'm really still not for the most part, but I'm willing to have an open mind, but you all're gonna have to really really help me find some things that would fit for me given my physical and cognative challenges. But anyway, the app basically asked you questions. You then typed your answers; it wasn't multiple choice, at least not all the time. Some questions had choices like yes or no, but anyway, you would pick a name, or creature/animal and then it would start asking you questions. So it may say, is this a person? If you said yes, it may play out to then say something like, is this person boy, girl, or neither. You'd answer. Then it would say is this a real person or someone fictional? Is this person a child? So let's say I said it is a real person. They are not a child. Then it may say, is this person still alive and you'd have things like, yes, no, and I don't know. So I'd say for instance, no. It then may say is this person a celebrity? I'd say yes. Then, it may say, is this person an acter/actris? I'd say yes. It would then say Is this person also a musician? I'd say yes. Was this person alive during the 1950's? I'd say yes. Did this person die in the 20th century, or the 21st century. I'd say 20th. Did this person record rock 'n roll music? I'd say yes. Does this person's name start with a B? NO. Was this person Afro-American? No. Does this person's name start with an E? Yes. Does this person's last name start with a P? Yes. Are you thinking Elvis Presley? Bingo!
I'm just trying to remember what that game/app was called, as it was really fun to see how long I could stump the AI before it finally figured it out. I've actually pulled a few duzies, but usually it eventually would get it.
Anyway, thanks for the help.

Farm RPG
I've recently started playing Farm RPG. It may work for you.
A recomendation, and your game
Since you enjoy text-based adventures, I highly recommend Timecrest: it's my favourite in that kind of games. It's similar to the Lifeline games in that you have different choices to make and each one affects the story; it has a beautiful soundtrack and uses some sounds to give you hints on what's happening (if it's time to make a choice, or if a timer has started and you have to wait for the main character to respond), but you can play the game without them with no issue. The story is in the fantasy realm: not sure how it fits with your morality, but only you can tell.
Lastly, I think the game you described is called Akinator. I checked the App Store and there is an Akinator app, not sure if it is accessible. I remember there was an accessible version of this game: maybe searching the app directory here on AppleVis will help you find it.
Some Recommendations
I have some recommendations, but they all have downsides.
There are some Blindfold Games that I think aren't just like logic puzzles, but I only know from the app directories because I don't have them. The only ones I've tried are Blindfold Tap And Swipe, and Blindfold Bowling. In that case, I would really recommend those. Also, I have the Maverick Software game called Cupcakes Bake and Decorate, and may get more, but that has a few accessibility bugs. It's not unusable, but a few things could be a bit hard especially if you have no usable vision, or some just flat-okt don't work. I'm still figuring it out though.
the app you're looking for
the app you're looking for is called 20q I think.
Also, I really enjoy the choice of games titles. www.choiceofgames.com and that sounds like it's really up your alley.
bitlife
The game I'd auggest ia called bitlife. It is a life simulator game. There are some things in the game you have to pay for, like removing adds and such, but it is text based. I have tinnitus, so I just flip the mute switch on my phone to turn off the sounds, wich I find not only aggravates my tinnitus, but they are really annoying!
trivia crack and trivia in general?
I used to play trivia crack and what was that other they had. but it has sounds but they arent that important. and its trivia. you win characters by answering questions. not sure if they are still available. trivia crack kingdoms or something. time crest yeah. um some of these games sound fun. but I am not able to pay for stuff from blindfold games. um rs games you have to pay for most of them one by one. but not on pc. or mac i don't think. just a thought. um if i come up with more I will let ya know. but I was addicted to trivia crack and such for a while.
