Greetings AppleVis Community,
My name is Stephanie Jones and I am co-founder of an accessibility solutions company, Menus4ALL. Our mission is to provide folks accessible restaurant menus. Previously we offered 50,000 US accessible menus on our website for 3 years. This Fall we beta tested with the BVI community an iPhone app, available now in the App Store. The Menus4ALL iPhone app features 750,000 fully accessible restaurant menus. 500,000 menus in the U.S. and 250,000 menus in Canada. It supports Apple’s dynamic type, VoiceOver, Voice Control and common Braille displays. And it’s affordable for all at $2.99 a month, with a one time 14-day trial.

As an BVI individual and AppleVis user for years, I know this community has been waiting for something like this. My co-founder, Helen Fernety, and I hope you will give the Menus4ALL app a try and submit the Menus4ALL app to the App Directory. Share your accessible restaurant journey with us on Facebook, Instagram, or at Menus4ALL.com.

Bon Appétit!

Are there plans to add menus from restaurants in other countries including Australia which is where I live?

If you depend on blind individual subscribers, it will never work. Bussinesses should pay to make their menus accessible, not the blind individuals. Even more, blind users should not accept a subscription model like that, unless we want a future where we pay a monthly subscription to access movies, another to access menus, another to recognize money, etc.
Hope you find a better way and good luck with all your projects.

I agree with Alan, expecting blind customers to pay for the privilege of reading a menu in a business so that they can get the money is just never going to work.

The restaurants of themselves should pay for this. people who go to the same restaurants tend to eat the same thing, so even if some people do pay for it they aren’t going to use it after a while because they know what they want. And so do the restaurants, they will know what people want. if you cannot persuade the restaurants to pay for this, why is it you think the customers should pay for it? Another classic example of someone coming up with a great technical solution to a problem, and only then asking the customers what it is they want. If you had asked on this forum at the start, people would have told you that the subscription model will never work

Just for the convenience it adds. This is something I'd hoped would become a reality for a long time. Now that it is, I'll support the developers.

I can't believe all the negativity I'm seeing in this thread. Yes, there are other ways I can access menus but this app puts them conveniently in one place. I'm glad we finally have an app like this. Hopefully even more menus will be added in the future. I hope the developers won't be put off by all of the negative comments. I really want to see this app succeed. As I said, there are other ways to access menus, but it's really nice to have them altogether in one place. Keep up the great work on this app!

You aren't entitled to something just because you are blind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you buy star bucks? Do you go out to eat at least once a month? Than do a little less of that and you could support this wonderful developer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for doing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although accessibility suppose to be there for all, is not. How much for the use? If is a good app, I may consider it. Tire of looking for places and when I check their menue is not accessible or hard to use. Bella the cat does not help when a menue is not accessible.

I think this is a great app. For me it's nice to have accessible menus in one place without having to dig for them on websites. I support the Developers of this app. Keep up the great work!

I’m trying it going to keep it but it won’t allow me to find restaurants and we have a Starbucks close by

Hello!
I'll be honest I've always wanted something like this!
However, is there a way I can pay for a lifetime subscription? I really don't like to pay monthly for something like this, and this will definitely keep me from using it. I'd rather just pay like $39.99 or so and just have it forever.
Thanks!
