Hello,
I have multiple computers, which run a variety of operating systems.
3 run Windows 11, 1 runs macOS Ventura, & 1 runs Linux Mint.
I'd like a web browser that works with & syncs across all these different platforms, so I found Brave, which is based on Chrome.
I like it, however, there's a huge problem. In the iOS app, you cannot enter anything into the address bar because its, "dimmed" according to Voiceover.
Has anyone else seen this?
What can I do, if anything, to fix this?

turn QuickNav off
Have you tried turning QuickNav off with space and q? Sometimes, you have to toggle it on and back off for input to work.
I’m not using a keyboard or Braille display.
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question.
At the moment, I am not using a keyboard or my focus 45th generation braille display, just the screen.
With that out of the way, what else might cause this issue?
Try to flick to the address…
Try to flick to the address bar, I’ve just tried to double tap and hold on the address bar that should take you into it. Hope that helps.
Cheers.
That didn’t work.
Hi,
Thank you so much for the suggestion, but I just tried it, and unfortunately, it didn’t work. I even tried triple tapping the address bar, which has the same affect as a double tap and hold.
Unfortunately, what I ended up having to do, which was a bit tricky, was turn off voiceover, then use my remaining vision to locate and click the address bar. Once I did that, I was then able to turn voiceover back on, and type whatever address I wanted.
So glad you managed to work…
So glad you managed to work it out though. It must be so frustrating. I don’t have any vision so not sure how I would’ve gone about it but interestingly when I did double tap on the address bar, it kept saying dimmed, it only worked when I double tap and held it.
