Hi All ,
An exciting update for iPad OS 16.1 is Stage Manager. But this doesn't seem to be relevant for visually impaired users. I try to start it in control center and I don't know what command or gesture to use to continue. I remember seeing someone posting in the beta board earlier that visually impaired users can't use Stage Manager, I wonder if that's true? What if we could use it?
Please let me know if you know anything about using Stage Manager for visually impaired users, thanks.

What is the benefit of using it?
I never understood that part.
hope there will be a pod cast
I hope it will have a podcast to talk about it or demonstrate it.
misunderstanding
someone has talked about "main stage" and "logic" here, they are softwares for music makers. Nothing related to the subject of this thread; this "stage manager" is a feature for multitasking on iPad.
I am interested too, even if as far as I could understand my iPad is not listed in the ones with stage manager - I have a mini.
interested on this as well
I don't have a ipad, I have a mac, but stage manager is on mac, so would be interested in learning how to use it as well.
Sorry to pop your bubbles, but
OK, here's the leading snippet on google that I found when searching for what stage manager actually does, and I still don't see what possible good it would do for a blind user:
"Stage Manager shows the app you're currently using in the center of the screen . Other apps you're using appear as thumbnails on the side. To switch between windows, click a thumbnail. To access files and folders on your desktop, click the desktop."
You want to quickly switch between windows? Use command tilda or vo f2 twice and select.
You want to quickly switch between apps? Use command tab or vo f1 twice and select.
You want to go directly to your desktop? There's a single keystroke for that already.
You want to have the current app centered on your computer monitor? Hey, I thought you were blind, but for the sake of our partially sighted peers, have you considered using f in Safari or control command f in other apps to have the app fill the monitor?
I just don't get it. It's like demanding that we get a Braille doorknob.
Stage Manager On My iPad Pro
I haven't been using stage manager a lot, but I have been playing with it on my iPad pro. I don't know how often I'll use it, but I do like some things about it. I like always having the list of recently used apps on the left of my iPad as well as the dock at the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure how to move or drag windows with VoiceOver. I'm still trying to get a feel for the whole thing. I think this feature definitely has potential. I'm sure it'll get even better as it is developed
