Apple Beta Releases

Hello,

I’m having some very strange issues with my iPhone 13 pro max running the release candidate of ios 16.1.
I had some issues which made it necessary for me to restore my device last Friday, but in doing so, I lost a bunch of calendar events, & over 2,000 pictures.
As of today, I think I got the pictures back, but my calendar events are still MIA!
How should I proceed?
Should I:
• try to find my old backup from last Friday, restore from it & create a new full backup
• wait until Monday, when the official releases come out, & restore then?
I’m afraid that the longer I wait to do this, the chances of getting my missing data back will be greatly lessened.

Probably restore from a backup. I more interested what issues are you having? I'm trying to figure out prematurely if I should get iOS 16.1 as I do not like waiting too long after an update and it bugging me about it (no pun intended) unless there's a serious problem.

Hi,
As far as what issues I'm having, my facebook birthdays are a day off, & siri doesn't always do what I ask of her.
Also, when in the phone app, & in recents, if you double-tap someone's name to call them, you may end up calling the person above or below the intended one in your list because voiceover has moved focus without telling you. (As long as you're very careful, this bug can be avoided.)
I was unable to find that old backup, so will let the phone backup tonight, & restore to the public version tomorrow. From there, I'll setup as "new."
