Hi everyone. Lately my phone has been downloading voices that I don't want to use for voiceover anymore. Is there any way to fix this?

Yes, I'm having this problem too, but I was able to solve it in a simple way and voices are no longer downloading automatically.
Before deleting voice, make sure Wi-Fi or cellular data is turned off, when Wi-Fi is turned off, delete the audio you don't want, then turn VoiceOver off and on again.
Wait about 10 to 20 seconds, then turn Wi-Fi on again.

I had it too back on my 16 gb iPhone 5S when iOS was downloading all enhanced voices for all languages. That was so annoying! Also there was a problem that Tom's voice was always downloading automatically each time I deleted it. The only thing that helped is a complete reset of the device via iTunes and using it as new iPhone.

Ok. Thanks everybody. I don't really want to reset my phone, but I may have too, if it really starts to drive me nuts.

Did you make sure the voices are not listed in any preference, for Siri, for VoiceOver, and for Spoken Content? I expect it to keep downloading any voices listed therein.

Curiously I have the other problem, namely, that I actually want to keep the voices, but can't because they keep getting expunged! I believe voice assets count as purgeable and will be dropkicked off your device when there is space pressure—or that's the theory, anyway, I think.
