1. In the mail app you cannot anymore navigate by heading when selecting a new contact to email something. The only way to scroll down the list is to tap on the side of the phone and scroll down. I am not sure if this is a bug or a new feature.
2. Also, some times when you want to share something from Safari via email the whole thing hangs and you cannot send it. There is no way to go to the send button in the email client.
3. When browsing with Safari and you have container enabled in the rotor and you want to go back, what you do is swipe down and then you hear the back button. However when you have read quite a lot of the page and you do that nothing happens. You have to change the rotor to headings, swipe up and then use containers and swipe down for it to work.
4. Sometimes, the page has loaded in Safari but you still hear the tic tic sound which means that the page is still loading. Also, the web page load a bit slower than before.
5. I am not sure if this is a feature or a bug but before when you picked something in a tool - dialog box voice over used to say picker item, you picked it and then click done. Now you have to swipe right to activate the same choice.
6. In the app store, if you have automatic updates off after the program name that has an update, you were listening to the bugs that the updated solved. Now in IOs16 you hear the program, then the update and in the next line all the bugs that are squashed. This is not a bug, but a feature I don't like.

#4 and #5
For #4, I use Safari on my iPhone, because the Chrome layout for the iphone is bad for some reason, with no way to reload or close tabs from the mainscreen, so now, until I find out how to get my iPad's chrome layout onto my phone, I'm stuck with Safari and I am experiencing bug #4. I find the steady pageload click, click, click, annoying, and hearing it for ever while trying ,to read an article or write a comment, is just plain disturbing. Like the phone is giving me a crash warning, and then I type fast just so I can get out and switch to chrome on my iPad, and then I mess up, and do other things I'll regret afterward. Also, when this happens, VO constantly says "Webpage loaded" and jumps to the top, only to do it again a few minutes later. Re #5, I haven't seen this behavior, but I know that if I go into one of those "alert menus" (menus that are said to be alerts by VO) in third party apps, I can't click on anything, not even the Cancel button, with VO enabled.
Some other bugs other people haven't mentioned.
Sincere apologies if this has been posted before. I seem to be able to open Edit Mode on the Home Screen simply by swiping through the VoiceOver actions menu, and then if I touch or swipe a certain area of the homescreen sometimes the apps will move by themselves. Also, the calendar widget has weird stuff on it. Everytime I open my home screen on the calendar widget VO says a totally random start and end time. They're different every time and are always and hour apart. The first time I noticed this it said "From 3:56AM to 4:56Am" even though it was about 5:00 in the afternoon. The layout is as follows:
30 Seconds travel time
30 seconds Travel time
(On this line it will say my events)
Event 1
Event 1
(Then the totally random time)
Location 1
(then that same time again)
And sometimes that layout changes, this is just the one it does most often.
VoiceOver sounds
I have VoiceOver sounds turned off and I no longer hear the clicking sounds which is a work around.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I prefer my sounds to be on, but I do most of my web activity from my iPad, so if I had to use the phone I could just shut the sounds off! Good idea!

I agree. I do not like the new presentation in the App Store. The percent download should be the last item in the list under the app being downloaded.

Re:#6
I just updated an app manually for my first time after the new IOS 16 update. All of you are right—The update button is now before the description of the update. Not a huge dealbreaker as far as I'm concerned but this is definitely going to take some getting used to.
News App
I set up the new My Sports feature in the News app. Now on the Today tab there is a "My Sports" heading with a team's upcoming schedule, sometimes last game score, sometimes a headline, and so on. The issue is VoiceOver will not swipe past this section, when you get into it a little bit focus will jump back to either the beginning of the section or a link or two before it. As far as I can tell it is an infinite loop and one must scroll the screen with other gestures to get past it. When using a Braille dispaly and not operating the iPhone via the touchscreen it is extra challenging.
Also in News, a bit more hit and miss is when reading an article with SayAll VoiceOver will sometimes not maintain the focus and instead return to the top. This may have to do with scrolling ads but I am not certain; there may be more than one cause. Either way it is a productivity killer when it occurs.
News app and jumping focus to the top
Yes, I have seen this problemn for some time now. This is very frustrating but not new to iOS 16. I often see this happen when there is a Tweet in the news article with an embedded video.
