Passcodes and Braille screen input

Braille on Apple Products

I have read on this site that it is possible to type in a passcode with Braille screen input, but it isn't working for me. It doesn't unlock my phone and I have to either shut it off and try touch ID again, or get out of BSI. My phone is an 8+.

I have an 11, and for the past couple of months, using Braille in password fields or to unlock my phone has not been working. It had worked before. I'd love any help here.

I've never got BSI to work when typing in passwords. Do I need to use computer braille or something? Any advice would be appreciated.

When entering your 4 or 6 digit passcode, do not do the number sign, dots 3, 4, 5, 6 before entering your code. For example, if your passcode is 1111, then just enter dot 1, dot 1, dot 1, dot 1. Then your phone should unlock.

Hi,
I can use Braille screen input to unlock my iphone, but not when doing software updates.
Why is this?
I'm using an iphone 13 pro max, running iOS16.1, which is currently in beta.

Greetings. This procedure works most of the time for me when I use it. However, note that you will not receive any verbal feedback while entering in your pass code. Also, bear in mind that it is a good idea to calibrate jut before entering. Bear in mind if you don't hear the clicks as you enter, it is not properly focused.

I always thought you had to enter the number sign when entering your passcode even when its just 4 digits. It makes sence though. I mean there aren't any letters on the text field so I guess this is why braille screen input doesn't require you to input the number sign, but its interesting.
