ejecting a USB flash drive from an iPhone

Hi,
If you are lucky enough to be able to get the files app to work with the USB camera kit and a flash drive on an iPhone, how do you eject it when you’re done transferring files? I would rather not just pull it out, or is that the way to do it?
Thanks

No such function exists in IOS, unless they've added something in 16. I've read you can close the Files app if you want to be completely sure, but otherwise, make sure nothing is being written or read, then yank it out.

Last I knew, you do not need to eject a USB Drive from an iOS or iPadOS device. As long as you're not actively in the process of copying files to and from the drive, you should be able to remove it safely.
