The bug with the app switcher & invert colors still exists in iOS 16.1

Apple Beta Releases

Hello,
The first developer beta of iOS16.1 has been released.
Though, the bug where the app switcher won’t work, if you’re using invert colors in combination with voiceover, is still present. I just tested it on my iPhone 13 Pro max.

A change that some might find welcome, is that at least with the Alex voice, voiceover speaks, “question “for a?, & “exclamation” for an !.”

I am using the first release version of iOS 16. Even just using Voiceover without changing any colors, the app switcher is suffering in functionality compared to iOS 15.

The biggest issue is that when the app switcher is invoked from an open application, focus is not on the aplication. Thus, if one wants to close the application one just left, one has to swipe through all of the other apps to get to the open application one just left.

On my iPhone SE-3 with todays release of iOS 16.1 Dev beta I'm no longer having problems with the app switcher. When I bring it up, it puts the current app in focus and says "active" which means I can take action. Also, no more multiple instances, or mentions, of apps when I have several of them open. Anyone still having these issues should try rebooting your phone if you haven't already done so after updating.

It’s really strange.
As soon as I install the update, my phone refused to open the app switcher, unless I turned off voiceover first. Late last night, it began working as it should have all along, not making me turn off voiceover first. I just tested it a second ago, and it still works that way.

I have just tested direct touch on my iPhone, 13 pro max, running the 1st developer beta of 16.1, and other than voiceover losing focus a little bit, which was minor, direct touch, appeared to work properly. If anyone is curious, I used game world for my testing. The focus loss occurred, as I navigated the board, but it wasn’t that difficult to bring focus back to where it should be.

In iOS 16 beta 1, I get an error while checking for a software update on the device and going into an inconclusive loop about trying again.
