The subject says it all. I just updated to the latest watchOS and downloaded the Alex voice and selected it but it won't change to that voice. Anyone having this issue?
I have the Alex downloaded to the watch but it doesn't actually work. Anyone in the applevis team know what's up with this issue? Also, I don't want to have to restore my watch, especially since I'm getting a series 7 in a couple weeks.
I am having the same issue. But this is happening with any new voice I try. Before the update, I was using Siri voice 3. Now, I can’t switch to Alex, Fred, or any other voice. For this and other reasons, I am kind of disappointed with watchOS 9.
I wonder if this has anything to do with using a Siri voice, I was using the default female Siri at the time, not sure which one the other commenters were using. I'd love to hear thoughts on this issue.

reset
I had to reset my watch to get Alex talking, I don't know why. But I'm not screwing with the voice after a day of frustration.
