Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

Does that mean iOS 16 is out and available for download or is this a beta? a

By Karok on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - 08:20

Hi, is the final version before the release on Monday 12 September to the public.

By JC on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - 08:20

No, the RC is the final release. it's the same release that the general public will receive on September 12.

Sad the RC for iPad is not out. Not happy. I blame Stage manager. Do not get why they did not do like they did with UC. Release the CR and release the feature in the next beta.

So once I install the release candidate, can I go about deleting the beta profile?

By Olivier on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - 08:20

In most cases, the rc is the final version that everyone will receive. But, in some cases, a second or even a third rc has to be released. So, I would suggest you to keep the profile until Monday and then remove it, just in case Apple release a new update. However, if they release one, it will be because of a major issue. If no major issue is found, the rc will be the same build as the final version

The only reason it wouldn't be the same software that gets released next week is if there's some massive bug, so basically this is what they'll be distributing to iphones next week

By Brian Giles on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - 08:20

Yep. It's also an entire redownload of the new iOS version and not just a small update, just like when everyone downloads the new version when it gets released to the public. Just under 5GB download on my 12 mini.

Hoping they've fixed the now playing screen in the music app (it's a mess right now), but not holding my breath.

I am planning to continue beta testing so my question is should I keep the beta profile?
I imagine that if I stay beta testing when iOS 16.1 comes I shouldn't have to get the beta profile again.
Is my assumption correct?

By Julian on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - 08:20

Yes, if you plan to continue beta testing then you should keep the profile.

Generally, once you download the beta profile for a major iOS release, such as 16, you can continue to install betas of updates to that release, like 16.1, using the same profile.

I reported an Apple, that the speed rate settings for Eloquence TTS is to rough, it makes big jumps when for example turning the rate from 40 tou 50 percent. It is not fixed yet in the RC.

The Subject field says it all and I cannot open notifications in the lock screen using iPhone 13Pro

I can't use the app switcher either. How can they let such a major bug slip through the cracks.

By Lee on Saturday, September 24, 2022 - 08:20

Yep, I reported this in public beta 2 and have updated my feedback bug report 3 times since. Nothing has changed. Shocking to be honest.

I hated are used 15 because the focus jumped around in Safari and in some applications. From what I read around it was still present in iOS 16 better two or three. Has it been fixed?

Hi,
Since this is the release candidate, I decided to take the leap and install it on my iPhone SE 2020. Before you wonder, I have the public beta on other devices, and haven't encountered this bug.  What's happening is some of my apps open and show up normally, but the apps that are in my seldom used, favorites, and second favorite apps folder have that ominous "waiting" icon after it. At least voiceover announces it as such. And when I go to open them, even from the app store, they don't open.  Has anyone else seen this with any of their beta devices? I have another iPhone SE 2020, and an iPhone 8, and hadn't had this issue on either.  If anyone has seen this, what did you do? I hope I don't have to install my apps again and do the logins again, what a giant pain in the butt. I've reported this to apple just in case.

P.S. Some of the apps that have the "waiting icon with them are still pushing out notifications.

Hey guys.
So, installed the release candidate on my daly driver, and here are my thoughts.
First, elequence just sounds a little yuck.
Don't know if I'm just not used to it coming from a phone speaker or it's been compressed, but something most definitely happend.
Second, yep, the app switcher and I are most definitely having words.
I found a bug in safari where the address bar cannot always be located, and the ability to have it on the top seems to be gone?
Elequence speech rate setting is broken. We can now only go up and down in increments of ten, instead of 5. This seems to apply to all voices.
Anyone else having these issues?

Direct touch is still broken in the official public version of iOS 16. So they never fixed it, bummer. Was expected though.
