There were some bugs in ios 15 that drove me crazy such as the following:
Braille displays randomly freezing and requiring a force restart of the ios device.
Braille display panning commands not working.
Braille displays jumping to the first line of an email message when I insert a line break (which also happened on gmail, which is the app I prefer to use for email).
And as you can tell I use a lot of braille display Lol but I don't experience that many voiceover issues.
So as of now I think IOS is at the best stage that's it's been in a while now.
Hi, I think I will wait to an other iOS update this year, I hope it will be solve next update.
Braille Display is important to me, and from year to year it becomes worse.
I don't understand why apple doesn't doing effort to improve Braille support?
In Hebrew it's horrible.
All I am writing here based on my personal opinion and from using iOS for years.
Hi all. I, too, am very excited to upgrade to iOS 16 but will need a newer iPhone to do so. Having said that, I think iOS 15 is very good. I have not experienced a lot of the bugs that others on here have experienced, and I think I can honestly say that Apple's accessibility folks are hard at work setting the stage for the next version.
I didn't "upgrade" from ios 14 to ios 15 until last month. I figured that being the last ios 15 upgrade, ios 15.6.1 would be the best it gets for fixing all the accessibility bugs introduce by ios 15 last September. I was greatly disappointed.
In ios 14, i had all the features I needed, and my iPhone 10s was quick and reliable. The day I "upgraded" to ios 15, however, my phone:
1. became very slow, frequently read strings of nonsense characters forcing me to turn VoiceOver off and back on a dozen times a day;
2. often grew to a crawl, forcing me to reboot my phone altogether; and
3. worse.
I doubt IOS 16 could be worse than ios 15, but I'm feeling pretty skeptical right now.
I am very excited to see what ios 16 has in store for us! I just hope there aren't that many bugs so I can upgrade—Some of these features that I'm seeing are pretty good! I also trust that there will be fixed bugs in ios 16, like there usually are. There are still a few bugs for me, such as the word Dictate randomly being spoken by VoiceOver and my braille display about five seconds after me opening the home screen, but I don't really mind that, and I'm mostly just glad some of the big braille bugs were fixed.
Hey, I wanted to get the new text to speeches so I was on and off the beta cycles. finally, I have decided to stay on the current beta since we will get a release candidate I think tomorrow. as far as the IOS15 goes, it was good. I also have an iPhone XR and it worked solid and I think it will run for the few years. cheers!
I'm also interested in the new TTS voices in IOS 16 too. I listened to Thomas Domville's podcast with the voice samples. When I get up there I'll probably go to Zoe, or Joelle or Noel or just stick with Nicky Enhanced like I usually have. by the way, does somebody here no the difference between Joelle and Noel? Just wondering.
Perhaps I've been very lucky because I have not had any of those really bad issues that some people have reported.
My iPhone 12 promax has been running smoothly.
Very seldom I have had to reset my phone or turn VoiceOver off and on.
I have also been testing iOS 16 public beta and have had very little things to report.
Nevertheless, I know that there have been some bugs that others have encountered, and I am confident that a great number of them will be solved soon.
I think iOS 15 was very nice.
iOS 16 will be even better.
In my case, I won't be using eloquence and that's why I am thankful for the new voices we are getting this year.
Thanks, Apple, for all the options we have.
Looking forward to iPhone 14 event today. One thing I would like Apple to do is give us new ringtones. I know you can download some from iTunes but I wish they would put some new ones on the new phone.

if you have a old phone time to upgrade
If you are running a iPhone 8 or 10 I would expect it to be slow. Time to upgrade.
