I've recently started using outlook on an iPad and I'm having problems with messages that involve meeting invitations. Firstly, it seems like if I open one of these messages then it will instantly disappear from the inbox and go into the deleted items folder. Secondly, if I instead of double tapping on the message to open it carry on swiping past it until I get to the RSVP button and go in there to accept the meeting, this doesn't seem to change the status of that button in anyway. I mean even if I accept the invitation the RSVP button stays there and there is nothing to indicate anywhere in the inbox that I have already excepted it. I can understand the RSVP button staying there in case I want to change my mind about accepting it but it seems confusing that there is nothing indicating I have already excepted it. I think I have accidentally accepted the invitation a few times and it has sent emails a few times indicating this but I can't be sure.
The most annoying issue is the one about these messages disappearing as soon as I've read them. Has anyone any ideas what is going on?

I was having the same problem on my iPad outlook app
I went onto windows to actually see if there was an option, and there is in settings and option to delete email after accepting
I unchecked this box, and now they are not automatically deleting
