I'm an iPhone se 2 user. I'm trying to transfer some custom ringtones to the new iPhone with my Windows PC and Mac, but constantly failed. I couldn't find the "Tones" tab on both the music library and my device. Please help me to drop the m4r files savely in my se 2. Many thanks in advance!

Make sure your iPhone is connected to your Windows computer, and open the iTunes app on your computer.
Press the tab key until you reach the iPhone button, and press enter.
Now press the tab key until you come to the library side bar menu.
Cursor all the way down until you find tones, and press enter.
Now press the tab key until you find the tones Treeview.
This is where you need to be to copy/paste in your M4R files.
When you hear the sound effect that indicates that files have been successfully added, go to your iPhone, settings, sounds and haptics, and under ringtones or text alerts, choose from your custom ringtones that you have added.
Hope this helps!

Does anyone know how to put ringtones on your phone now? The new iTunes and the new iPhones will not let you add ringtones anymore. You can’t put them on to the phone. I don’t mind buying them from Apple and I understand that that’s what they want you to do but Almost every song that I look up does not have a ringtone to it

Said application (linked below), is officially the easiest program for adding/converting Ringtones from popular formats to either M4R or importing them into Garageband for adding to your phone:
NB. You can remove adverts with a 1 time In-App Purchase.

Hi there.

Not so long time ago I was trying to transfer my custom ringtones to an iPhone from a Mac with macOS Monterey. No guide from the Web had helped, so I found the solution by myself, although it took me about two hours.

First, open the Music app. Then go to Finder and move VO cursor on an .m4r file, and press «VO + ,». Next, return to the Music, move to the sidebar and look for «Devices», «Your iPhone name». Obviously, the iPhone has to be connected to the Mac, either via USB or Wi-Fi (I’d prefer the first way though). So, drop the ringtone file on «Your iPhone name» roll in the sidebar (while you are in the sidebar, it’s important), and here you are. That’s all. As I remember, you even wouldn’t have to sync your iPhone, because the ringtone would already appear in the Sounds» menu in the Settings app.

Hello,
I have just made a ringtone I'd like to transfer to my iphone, using the Apple devices appp on my Windows 11 computer.
Has anyone done this successfully?
If so, how?
I can't figure out how to get the files into GarageBand, otherwise, i would probably do it that way.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can provide.

Using iTunes on windows 10. Make sure in setting cincing is on and them connect phone, tap to device, enter and find tone, tab to the tones and paste. It should show in your phone. PS you do not need to connect phone. That how I did it when Ineeded to add tone.

Hi,
So far, it’s a no go. I even tried using the Mac as suggested by an online forum, but it still would not paste into the general area. Any other suggestions?

Hello,
I've seen numerous articles online, stating that it's possible to get ringtones onto your iPhone, using GarageBand, which I already have installed.
I've done it successfully before, but can't remember how.
Would anyone be willing to give me a hand here, using Voiceover?

While it still works with VoiceOver, for the most part, there are certain functions that are a little broken with GarageBand with iOS 18. Mainly anything that requires you to "adjust value", also known as sliders. These do not work at all with VoiceOver in GarageBand.
